We booked an excursion through another listing with this company and realized they have several so I am leaving another review here as I believe we were put on a different boat from what we booked or they are falsely advertising on all of their listings. This is not a "luxurious" double deck catamaran, with a MAX of 35 people per group, and a cool slide. It is similar to a ferry PACKED with 120 people and pretty far from luxurious. We checked in, rounded the corner of the dock with a massive amount of people, and got herded onto the boat. Our party of eight was packed like sardines in a booth with our life jackets on unable to move around the boat. The listing we booked said bring "water-based sunscreen". We specifically brought REEF SAFE WATER-BASED SUNSCREEN. Everyone was told to not wear any sunscreen and was shamed and told over and over by staff there was NO SUNSCREEN and if you put it on to take it off immediately. We did as we were told but watched as many on the boat continued to put on NON REEF SAFE sunscreen behind their backs. One person in our party was denied snorkeling as we were leaving the boat at the first stop because her life vest was not on properly (too many people for the staff to help with their jackets). Her kids jumped off the boat before her and she was forced to stay behind. The staff just told her "next stop" while she watched her family swim away. On the way back to the ferry dock, the “lively entertainment” was a beer chugging contest down snorkels and a pole dancing competition between mom and daughter. I felt bad for people with little children. At least we had teens that were old enough for what the "lively" entertainment was.
The catamaran was spacious and comfortable, and the staff were super friendly and attentive. The open bar was a huge plus, with well made drinks available the whole time. Snorkeling was spectacular crystal clear water and lots of marine life. Perfect for relaxing, soaking up the sun, and connecting with nature. I would definitely do it again!
We had an amazing time on this catamaran! The crew was fun and attentive, the drinks were cold and unlimited, and snorkeling over the reef was like swimming in an aquarium. After that, we just kicked back on the upper deck with the sun and the breeze. A must-do in Cozumel!
The views from the top deck were stunning, the music set the perfect vibe, and the drinks were flowing. Snorkeling in the crystal-clear water was magical — we saw so many colorful fish. Highly recommend for groups
Less than 10min was allowed in the water at the snorkeling location. Rushed. A few fish. Barely any reef siting at all. I would not recommend this to anyone wanting to actually snorkel. If you want to drink a lot of beer on a boat this tour is for you.
What an original name of this tour and what a good time! We leave with new memories and adventures wait for us soon Chile and Tequila! All very friendly people.
This is not as advertised!! Give me a refund!! Posting says “maximum of 35 travelers” which is exactly why we wanted to be in a bigger snorkel boat, but not crowed. Loud rap music playing non stop on the boat (double decker Chile Tequila) was not pleasant. Average age of passengers about 40-42, plenty 55+, very few under 25, so not sure why the loud annoying music. Well, there were over 90 passengers on the boat. Imagine how much time it takes to get over 90 passengers on the boat. Now with about 55-60 getting in the water at the first stop-imagine the time that takes. And now get 55-60 back in the boat. And the first snorkel stop was 20 minutes. Yes, I started my timer on phone because I was shocked that a 5 hour tour would have a premier snorkel site with a 20 minute stop. 24 minutes and 20 seconds from cutting off engines to start up and leaving the first site. Next stop—17 minutes and 40 seconds!! Yes, second snorkel site was even shorter and about 45-50 got off the boat this time because the announced time is so short that it’s not worth the hassle. So, about 40 minutes in the water for 2 of what should be the best snorkeling spots in Cozumel. But wait-the 3rd stop is the shallow knee to waist deep area that is the national park with some stingrays- but this stop was 70 minutes long. Way too long and how much standing in water do they expect people to want? But wait-there’s more-the advertised “delicious Mexican and Caribbean food of a hot dog, ceviche, fruit and tortilla chips”…. FYI, the food is set out 60-75 minutes before they serve it stacked on plates (I have photos). The hot dogs are actually cold, never heated at all, the ceviche was good, a few pieces of canned pineapple, a few pieces of papaya and about 5-6 tortilla chips. They serve beer, but the premade coolers of margaritas were syrupy sweet with no taste of alcohol-truly not drinkable. Let’s get back to it. This was not a max of 35 passengers, so send me a refund! That’s fraud. 90+ passengers is a zoo and the annoying blaring rap music with under 40 minutes total at the snorkeling sites with over an hour in the wading waters?? Not how we wanted to spend 5 hours in captivity like my wife and I did yesterday. Don’t book this tour-take a small ponga type boat that will get to the reef 2X as fast and have 8-20 people. You will have more time in the water and not lose 5 hours of your life. Those boats even have some that make fresh guacamole, make drinks in front of you etc. Also, tour claims 1pm departure. Email that comes later claims you need to meet them at 12:30pm. When you go to the meeting point at 12:30pm, the lady says, “go to Chile Tequila restaurant now as we all leave from there as a group (across the street to boat). When arriving to boat pier at 1pm, no passengers were in the boat. Why? Because they want everyone at their restaurant and bar as long as possible. When I asked, the same lady then said “we never load and leave until 1:20pm”… lots of wasted time. Boat arrived back to same place at 6:15pm, so basically 5 hours time for 40 minutes at 2 snorkel sites and over an hour in the waist high clear waters with no reef, no fish, 3-4 stingrays. Who will be sending me a refund?
