Here you go: on tour with strangers. Nine Americans, a couple from Wales and then me from Holland. But Driver/Guide Tommy manages to make us a big family (with that crazy aunt😀). Wonderful how the guide tells everything, with jokes but also serious matters are covered. Music adapted to the environment or the story. And you definitely feel safe with Tommy in the car. To the Hebrides? Then with Highland Experience👍👍
Our tour guide Rory made the 3 day tour of Lewis and Harris very enjoyable. We met several really delightful folks from several other countries, and became friends which was an unexpected plus. The B&B's chosen for us were very accomodating. The visit to an independent Harris Tweed weaver for education and demonstration was the highlight of our trip. The lengthy ferry ride was smooth. We wished for more stops and for more history/backstory to the places we were seeing, but we were very appreciative of Rory's willingness to change the itinerary when we found ourselves overwhelmed with other busses/sightseers. All in all, this was a very nice adventure.
The Hebrides are beautiful but the this tour fell a long way short. Personable enough bus driver Daniel, but he was no guide and knew very little about any of the attractions or scenery. The weather wasn't kind unfortunately, but we seemed to have to stick to the itinerary without deviation even if that meant a 30 minute stop on a freezing and wet beach, or taking photos when the mist was in and there was nothing to see!! Perhaps some inclement weather alternatives need to be available. The tour left us to our own devices regarding meals even when it was Sunday and almost nothing open. Being dropped off in the rain at the ferry terminal with nearly 4 hours to wait before the ferry and few eating options was poor planning indeed. Surely it couldn't be too hard to arrange with a venue to be open. There were 15 people across two buses who needed hot drinks and something to eat. Closer attention needs to be made to the fine details of the tour because it really mars the experience. None of this is to take away from how glorious the Hebrides are, and some of the worthwhile stops like the Calloway weavers. Just a shame we went with this company.
As I am writing, we are at the end of our second day of the tour, and I could not rave about it hard enough!! Not only do these uniquely beautiful islands meet our expectations fully, the organisation of the tour is excellent and our guide-driver James fantastic: very knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about his role, with an infectious passion for Scotland, too. I could only recommend. I am looking forward to tomorrow and even when that is finished, I am definitely coming back for more.
This tour is fantastic. A unique and unforgettable experience. The tour immerses you in amazing natural beauty and rich history of Outer Hebrides, with their breathtaking views, prehistoric monuments, incredibly diverse landscapes, and unique and ancient culture and traditions. The trip was very well organized. I liked that our group was relatively small (13 people). Our guide/driver, Fergie, was wonderful and very knowledgeable. An excellent storyteller, he shared a lot about the history of the islands, and local legends and traditions. I am so glad I went on this tour. Would highly recommend to everyone! This is an experience not to be missed.
Dear Mariya, Thanks for taking the time to review your tour to the Hebrides with us. We're delighted to read your feedback and will of course pass it on to your driver-guide Fergie. Kind Regards, Clare

I cant tell you how much we enjoyed this tour. Our guide, Fergie was wonderful and we were able to learn many things we would not have without his knowledge of the area. I certainly recommend this to anyone. We will definitely go back some day.
Janet

Great Time! Perfect combination of activities. Great tour director.

This was an experience that will stay in my memory for as long as I live. Hauntingly beautiful vista's and magnificent mountains and lochs. Beaches that would grace the finest postcards and crystal blue seas.

The tour was excellent. Jane, our guide, was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and considerate of her passengers' abilities to maneuver them. She is also an excellent driver.

My husband and took this tour and can recommend it to everyone. There were thirteen of us, all got along together and Dave the driver and guide was super. His knowledge made the trip interesting and exciting. We booked three star hotels and were most pleased with the accommodation. There was,in fact, nothing we could fault with the tour.
