Highly recommend. Johnny was very informative and accommodating. We would not have seen as much as the highlands as we did without this tour. It feels worth the price if you’re coming from far away. He made it feel very special.

We were picked up in a very clean, comfortable automobile with waters for everyone and the box full of treats. Tony was very kind and informative. When we did the castle tour he came with us and did a lot of interesting facts about the history of the family. Later in the day, we did a whiskey tasting, and he explained on how to drink it and took lots of pictures for us. We would strongly recommend Tony in his tour, I feel he went above and beyond.
Thanks so much for your review. Glad you enjoyed your day with us and wishing you both safe travels when heading home. Take Care. Tony & Johnny
Our guide was incredible, he took us to spots we would of never seen on our own. Great knowledge of history and Scotland sites. And a surprise whiskey and Scottish snacks tasting at the end. One of the best tours we have ever been on!
Thanks so much for your review, it was our pleasure to show you around our home here in the Highlands. Hope to see you back again someday. Take Care. Tony
John and Tony Munro are incredible guides. They clearly know the history of the region and country and are able to add little known tidbits of interesting information that makes the experience more exciting. They are friendly, funny, and make you feel right at home with the way they share anecdotes and answer questions. My wife and I were thrilled with our two days with these guys and would use them again if we return to Scotland. Don't miss out, give this tour a chance and I guarantee that you will get more than your money's worth!

Words can’t describe how great this tour was. John may be the best tour guide we ever had! The day included so much variety; scenic overlooks, waterfalls, Dunrobin castle, an incredible falconry show, Durnloch cathedral and a walk through town, with a lunch at a local restaurant. A quick visit to the Royal Durnloch golf course and a hike to a gorge where some of Harry Potter was filmed. At one point we had casually mentioned my wife’s sister in law was a Munro, ( same last name as our tour guide) , and as a complete surprise, not a planned part of the tour at all, John parked his van in a field in front of the the ancestral castle of the Munro’s and treated us to a whiskey and gin tasting along with a wide variety of Scottish sweets! If we could give 10 stars we would! Don’t hesitate just book with them and they do private tours also.
Hi Andy, thanks so much for your review and kind words. You had the sunniest day for it also. Glad we could show you around our home and local ancestry of the area. Many Thanks from Tony & Johnny

Fantastic experience with Tony and John Munro of Highland Guided Tours. We received excellent communication from the the first email I sent in Feb when inquiring about the tours for our visit in June. Tony followed up with a call to discuss the tours and how he could individualize for our small private tour for the 5 of us. He was professional, informative and provided the flexibility that fit our schedule. He was very patient with all the questions asked and even after we tweaked the tours many times. Tony and John are very knowledgeable not only about the Highland area (they are from the Highlands) but they also brought Scottish history to life by providing fascinating and fun stories about Scottish life and culture. Between myself and our friends, we booked about 14 tours over a months’ time and several airport/hotel transfers. They are both excellent drivers and the Mercedes van provided us with a smooth, comfortable ride even on the smallest of roads. Tony made sure each day we had snacks and water. Their choices of places for lunch we excellent. Occasionally they would provide a surprise treat that made everyone smile and felt like we were getting the true Scottish experience. This could have been just a regular sightseeing tour but it turned out to be highlight of our trip simply because Tony and John made each tour unique and fun! Their main goal is for their customers to get as much as Scottish experience as possible by weaving the Scottish traditions and culture into each of their tours. They went above and beyond for each tour and we never felt rushed or hurried at any of the sites we visited. They were happy to take photos of our group at any time and I also convinced Tony to join us in a few! I cannot say enough good things about Highland Guided Tours. If you are looking for private tours for a small group, this is the company to call!!!
Thanks so much for your review, it was our pleasure to show you around our home here in Scotland. We both hope to see you guys back again one day and continue our adventure. Glad you made it home safe. Tony & Johnny
