We had an excellent one-day Inverness tour with Highland Experience Tours, and our guide, Tabbi, made it truly memorable. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and kept the day engaging with fascinating stories about the Highlands, local history, and Scottish culture. The itinerary was well paced, and she ensured everyone was comfortable while making the most of every stop. Her enthusiasm and sense of humor made the journey even more enjoyable. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend Tabbi and Highland Experience Tours to anyone visiting the Scottish Highlands. Thank you for a wonderful day!
Maybe this tour would have been amazing, but we will never know as the company cancelled on us the morning of our tour. We were literally at the pick up stop asking another tour coordinator where our vehicle was, when we were informed that the tour we'd booked six months ago was cancelled due to an emergency. We are not unreasonable people, but having no kind of back up is not the best way to run a business. As a result, the tour we'd booked to Isle of Skye (and the whole reason for our visit to Inverness) was cancelled with only a choice of rescheduling the trip two days later - when we were scheduled to leave for Edinburgh. There was zero flexibility with our plans, and I was devastated. Luckily we were able to get a last minute booking with Happy Tours, but the cost was almost double what we had planned to pay with Highland Experience.
Hi, Firstly, we would like to apologise again for the disappointment and inconvenience caused by the cancellation of your Skye and Fairy Pools tour at such short notice. We fully appreciate how frustrating this must have been. As you are aware, due to a driver emergency we were unable to conduct your tour as scheduled. Unfortunately, we were unable to secure a replacement driver guide in a suitable timeframe for your tour to proceed as planned. We attempted to contact all passengers immediately and alternative dates were offered if they had flexibility with their travel plans. As the alternative date was not suitable for your plans, we arranged for a full refund to be processed through Viator. We sincerely regret the disruption caused to your holiday and appreciate your understanding that the cancellation resulted from unforeseen circumstances beyond our control. We would love to welcome you back to Scotland in the future to be able to give you the full experience that we hope to give all passengers. Kind regards, Siobhan Highland Experience Tours
It was an amazing experience, i liked the picturesque Scotiah landscape! The only negative was the time near the lake Loch Ness was too short and there were no paths around the lake to walk on. Nothing much to do unless you pay for a cruise. The guide was nice and the rest of the tour very interesting and beautiful.
Hi! Thank you so much for your positive feedback! We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed the scenery of Scotland and that your guide made such a positive impression. We hope to see you again soon! Kind regards, Mòrbheinn
Highly recommend this one-day tour around Loch Ness and Isle of Sky from Inverness. It was nearly a 12-hour day, so be sure to back some coffee, water, and snacks - but the long day was SO worth it! Our guide, Alex, was very well-studied on Scottish history, folklore, and even had an excellent Scottish playlist whilst driving through the Highlands. We were fortunate to experience all four seasons in one day, accompanied by several rainbows, and had plentiful time at each location to take photos and appreciate the beautiful aspects of every stop. The group size was just right (15), and the value for the price was shockingly good. Admission to Eilean Donan castle is not included, but definitely worth spending the extra money to get the full experience. Would highly recommend to any adventurers who want to see all around the Highlands & Isle of Skye but lack other means of transportation!
Hi Gabby, Thank you for such a wonderful review! I'm delighted to hear that you had such a fantastic day and that Alex's knowledge of Scottish history, folklore and his excellent playlist made the journey so enjoyable throughout. It's great to hear that the group size, timing at each stop and value for money all hit the mark. Experiencing four seasons in one day with rainbows thrown in sounds like a truly magical Scottish experience! We're also glad to hear that you found the Eilean Donan Castle admission worth the extra cost — we'd always recommend taking the opportunity to explore it fully for the best experience. I'll be sure to pass your kind words on to Alex. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure in the future! Kind regards, Cameron Highland Experience Tours

I went on this tour from Edinburgh. Hugh was extremely knowledgeable and kept us entertained with his witty humour and stories. It was a very relaxing tour on the Loch Ness boat and around Urquhart Castle. I really enjoyed Glencoe, where he played the bagpipes for us at the Three Sisters.
Thank you so much for your kind words! It’s wonderful to hear you had such a great time on the tour from Edinburgh with Hugh. His humour, storytelling, and of course, his bagpipe performance at Glencoe, really do add something special to the day! We're so glad you enjoyed the boat trip on Loch Ness and exploring Urquhart Castle—two of our favourite highlights. We’d love to have you join us again for another Highland adventure sometime soon! Best wishes, Eleonora Highland Experience Tours
Our guide Steven from Inverness was excellent. Kept us well informed. Very good driver . Lovely trip including sail on Loch Ness , Urquhart Castle, round Loch Ness & Suidhe viewpoint. Because of Inverness Marathon was unable to use road back into Inverness until 5.00pm but Steven kept us entertained .

“Breathtaking nature and an unforgettable experience! Jamie was an amazing guide – full of fascinating facts and stories about Scotland and its history. What made it even more special was the playlist he had prepared, perfectly matching the different themes and adding to the atmosphere. There were also plenty of breaks, which made the tour very comfortable and relaxed. Absolutely recommendable!”
Hello, Thank you for your excellent review of our tour and I am delighted you had a such a great experience with our guide Jamie and found his passion, enthusiasm and humour so memorable. Kind regards, Scott Highland Experience Tours
The Driver and guide were fab. Suggestions to improve the experience stagger coach arrival times so that they don’t arrive at the same time at stops and cause huge queues for services!
Hi there, Thank you so much for your kind words, we’re really glad to hear you enjoyed the tour and that our driver and guide helped make the experience a great one! We completely understand your frustration with the queues at rest stops. August is the busiest time of year in Scotland, especially in and around Inverness and the Highlands, and while tour companies do depart at staggered times, unfortunately, high demand often means that several coaches still end up arriving at popular stops around the same time. That said, we truly appreciate your feedback, it’s a valuable reminder of how these peak-season pressures can impact the overall experience. We’re always looking for ways to improve, and your suggestion will certainly be shared with our operations team for consideration as we continue refining our schedules. Thank you again for touring with us, and we hope to welcome you back on another Highland adventure in the future! Warm regards, Highland Experience Tours
