Really helpful crew who were very considerate of my 70year old mother. Maria on the booking team was also really responsive and assisted with pick up locations at very short notice. Amazing views, beautiful to be on the water and travelling in such style. Alvor was really gorgeous and a welcome respite from the pace of Lagos. We had 3.5 hours which was plenty of time for a harbour lunch amd shopping. Some of our fellow passengers even had a go at sailing which was a lovely touch. Fabulous experience and the highlight of our holiday :)
Thank you for your lovely comments, we are pleased you enjoyed your time with us.
Not what we expected. I thought it would have been a straight boat taxi from Alvor to Lagos. Far from it. We had a great commentary about both towns and the history of the Algarve. We sailed up to the caves in Lagos for some fantastic photo opportunities then dropped off at the harbour. The trip back was done under sail which was very thrilling. When we entered the estuary at Alvor we were entertained by lots of kite surfers including a European champion who actually jumped onto the side of the boat. He then got back into the water and jumped over the boat an amazing effort. This was repeated again by one of his compatriots. What an amazing boat trip. To call it a boat taxi ride doesn’t do it justice. It was the highlight of our day. Thank you so much to everyone for the excellent service you provided. We will do this trip again when we next visit Portugal and the Algarve. The Mattinson’s
thank you so much for your lovely comments, we are proud in what we do.
Beautiful day on the water, as soon as you get on board it is fun. The crew will tell you beautiful stories about the sea, the fishermen, the surroundings and about the caves. Arriving in Lagos you will have plenty of time to discover the old city. On the way back I sailed a bit but unfortunately not enough wind to sail all the way to Alvor. Highly recommended, the wooden boat is stable in the water and you don't get seasick so easily.
We can't recommend this trip enough. An amazing day out with two highly skilled sailors, both very welcoming, who have a great amount of local knowledge and history of the boat to share. They took us to see the rock formations, beaches and Roman Bridge at the top end of Lagos before sailing to Alvor where we had a lovely reception, including from two dogs belonging to boat owners there. There was plenty time to explore the town and enjoy lunch before our return journey. A very smooth and enjoyable sail despite some waves; one of the highlights of our holiday!
Thank you for your lovely review, we appreciate your comments.
loved being on board trigana a traditional sailing boat. Shelley the rep is so, friendly lovely and helpful. She explained the trip and got us excited. Once on board we were looked after by Pedro and Elliott. There are an awesome duo, they made us laugh all the way to lagos and back. The boat only holds 12 people which was fab, a much personal experience than on the bigger boats. Loved every minute ❤️ can highly recommend 👌
Thank you for your lovely review.
My friend and I choose to go on a trip with Trigana to lagos. Elliott and Pedro were fantastic,so friendly and knowledgeable about the island and area. They showed us the caves and told us all about the bays and how they got their names. So interesting. Then on the way back they put the sails up. Totally magical being propelled by the elements. Also got to stand up front as we sailed. It was the highlight of our week. Thank you boys. ( And Tyson and Mike)

Took the round trip to Lagos from Alvor, with a three hour stop in Lagos. Journey on slow boat as opposed to speedboat meant for a much more relaxing trip with lovely views. Great friendly crew, kept us informed about the area and what we would see and were attentive and interesting throughout the whole trip. Stopped to do some dolphin watching and crew showed geninue care for the dolphins, moving away from them when they were feeding. Great trip around the caves at Lagos, stopped at the marina and we had three hours to explore beautiful Lagos, then back to Alvor and some sangria on board on our return journey. Highly recommended.
thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased the dolphins came to see us on this day, and we always if possible will stop so that you get a wonderful experience. Hope to see you again soon.....
Done the boat trip the other day from 9.30 in the morning to 2pm in the afternoon. This is a must do in you are staying in Alvor. Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the Algarve. Lagos was a great place to explore, eat and have something to drink.
Thank you for your lovely review, hope to see you again soon !
Excellent trip on a lovely stable old boat. Crew explained history of area and took us on a tour of the caves. We had a leisurely afternoon in Lagos and then were picked up travelling back to Alvor under full sail which was peaceful and also thrilling. Experienced enhanced by a few glasses of Sangria nad watching Elliot fall off the dock!
Thank you for a lovely review. If you have a photo by chance of Elliot falling off the dock please send it to us, as we like a laugh (triganaboattripsalvor@gmail.com)
Pedro and Elliot were excellent right from the start, very friendly, welcoming and funny with some of their stories. We even got a complimentary glass of Sangria in the way. Ack and got to get to know Tyson the dog and his friend who were super friendly. Sailing back by sail from Lagos to Alvor was very special, a trip well worth taking. Highly recommended. 👍
