Votre guide privé anglophone viendra vous chercher à votre hôtel ou au port à votre heure préférée le matin, et vous commencerez votre visite privée à la découverte de la Sicile. Le guide vous expliquera comment le volcan Etna a créé, l'histoire des éruptions et la culture. En voiture privée confortable à travers les petits villages de montagne authentiques, vous admirerez des vues pittoresques inoubliables sur la campagne sicilienne pleine d'orangers et de citronniers, d'oliviers et d'amandiers, de maisons et de vieilles églises construites en pierre de lave. continuer à monter l'Etna jusqu'à la station "Rifugio Sapienza" à 2000 mt. Ici, vous pouvez visiter les célèbres cratères Silvestri, admirer des panoramas à couper le souffle, visiter des boutiques de souvenirs offrant des cadeaux de lave, vous rafraîchir dans un bar ou un restaurant. Ensuite, votre guide vous conduira à Taormina, l'une des stations touristiques les plus exclusives d'Europe. Perchée sur une colline surplombant la mer Ionienne, Taormina offre une vue imprenable sur le littoral et sur l’Etna, le volcan le plus actif d’Europe. À Taormina, vous aurez du temps libre pour vous détendre et vous promener dans les charmantes rues du centre-ville, admirer le mélange d'architecture grecque, romaine et normande antique, avoir l'occasion de faire du shopping dans les nombreuses boutiques et magasins d'artisans locaux.
La visite se poursuivra à Savoca, un village perché sicilien incontournable mondialement connu grâce à F.F. Coppola, qui a filmé ici son légendaire film "Le Parrain". Le guide vous parlera du processus de tournage, partagera des futilités et révélera la véritable histoire de la mafia sicilienne. Vous vous promènerez dans les rues authentiques de Savoca, qui sont restées inchangées depuis la réalisation du film. Visite des anciennes églises, Bar Vitelli où Michael a parlé au père d’Apollonia, et l’église Santa Lucia où le couple s’est marié. Suivez le même chemin en bas de la colline jusqu'en ville que les jeunes mariés, et peut-être même rencontrer des habitants qui ont été choisis dans le film, comme la signora qui jouait la mère d'Apollonia! Au cours de la visite à pied, vous vous arrêterez à une «trattoria» traditionnelle, où vous dégusterez des antipasti siciliens biologiques produits localement un plat de la traditionnelle «Pasta alla Norma», servi avec du vin local.

Marco was fantastic! He tailored the tour and we managed to do the cable car/jeep on Mt.Etna, visited a winery and had a great lunch there, and visited Taormina. He was informative, funny, thoughtful, and fully committed to make our day the best day possible. We highly recommend this company and Marco as the tour guide!

I cannot adequately describe how much we loved this tour. From the beginning our driver, Marco, made us feel welcomed. Mr Etna had erupted 2 days prior. He showed us video of the eruption and was able to get us up to see some of the craters while many busses were stuck and unable. Our lunch was simply one of the best. The view was amazing. Then he showed us Savoca. If you are a Godfather fan, this is a must. Definitely opt for the ride to the church. You can thank me later! Again, Marco was top notch!
We had an absolutely amazing day with our driver, Maurizio! Presetlli was great at working with us to customize exactly what we wanted for the day, which was Savoca with some Godfather stops (so cool) Taormina and a wine tasting+lunch at Murgo Winery in Etna. Seamless communication and confirmations and Maurizio was an excellent, knowledgeable and friendly guide who made our experience exceptional!
Excursions can have lots go wrong from weather to traffic to crowds and even accidents. I judge a tour by how they handle problems. We had an unfortunate communication problem over the meeting location. Nevertheless the tour operator immediately offered us a complete refund. When things go wrong and that will occasionally happen you can't ask for more than that. Thanks to Pasqualle.
Elena was excellent and engaging. She was knowledgeable and gave great at explaining all the history and kept us engaged. We were not rushed at any point in our trip and gave us plenty of time if needed to shop or get coffee during our full day private trip. Will recommend this company and guide to everyone. Day well spent!
We loved our tour of Sicily. Our guide was amazingly knowledgeable about Mt Etna and that was one of our favorite things to explore. I will say this is a packed day and was exhausting but if you have one day to see all the highlights this is the tour to take. Amazing!
We had a wonderful guide Maurizio! He was easy to communicate with before and during the tour. He was so kind and told us all about his island and the places we visited. He even gave us jackets while we were on the mountain at the volcano lava fields. There was a misunderstanding in the description of the tour, but the manager took care of us right away! Very apologetic and professional!! So appreciated. Note that you probably won’t have enough time to go to the Greek theater (long line to get tickets) so let them know if this is important to you. Highly recommend this company! Thank you for a lovely day!
We had such a blast with Roberto on this tour! He was so passionate and knowledgeable about his job around where he lives. The honey, olive oil, and liquor tasting was so fun and delicious! Then we visited the top of Etna where we got to learn about the history. And finished it all of with an amazing lunch and wine tasting with great views and a tour of the historic winery. Highly recommend and wish we could be back there now!
