Ben was an excellent and very pleasant guide. He kept telling us about the rainforest for almost the full 9 hour tour. We learnt a lot. We were very lucky to see a cassawary and observe it for a few minutes. Not sure we would have spotted it without our guide. On the minus side, I would say that you spend a lot of time in the bus. If you are on a law budget, you can easily do this tour by yourself with a car / camper. You will just miss some valuable explanations about this unique place.
Dale was absolutely fabulous. Very informative without being in your face. Made sure we were all accounted for and safe. Made the day very enjoyable.
Was a great tour and the guide Dale was very knowledgeable. In fact, Dale was the man and made the tour for what it was.
The tour guide Dale was great. Very informative and maintained a good vibe throughout. Saw beautiful nature and animals, me and my partner loved the day out.
Dale was our guide & he was a wealth of knowledge, great info, awesome convo & fab Dad jokes 😃 absolutely highly recommend. Van comfortable with air conditioning, great small group, really worthwhile. Although it is not guaranteed to see crocs 🐊 on the river boat, we did so that was a bonus. Exceptional tour, thanks heaps Dale many great memories, cheers from the Kiwi couple on your trip today. Ariana and Troy
Today was a small group of 10, and our guide—who also acted as the driver—kept introducing the history of Douglas and the Daintree Rainforest along the way. At each stop, we were given time to explore on our own. I accidentally left two pairs of sunglasses at the lunch spot, and the guide kindly arranged for someone to bring them to the next stop and hand them to me. I thought I would lose those two pairs of glasses, since the tour didn’t double back.
We had a fantastic day. Our guide, Ben, was absolutely brilliant and so informative - my 12 year old son said he’s now 10% smarter after spending the day with Ben! We covered several locations and Ben kept us entertained the whole journey with interesting facts. Definitely recommend this experience!
There are a lot of operators offering Daintree Tours. If you are undecided, do this one! Our guide Ben, was amazing. The itinerary flowed nicely, the stops were well organised and the transport comfortable and clean. Ben really made the day, he shared his extensive knowledge of the area, the flora, fauna and critters in a lovely conversational way that was both informative and interesting. We learnt all sorts of things about the area, its history, its challenges and its inhabitants. We had a fabulous day and highly recommend this small group tour.
I'm somewhat of an "anti-tourist", preferring to travel alone and find out for myself how things tick. But we could not have been more enthralled and entertained on this incredibly special day out. It was a relief to learn almost immediately our guide, Steve, was deeply knowledgeable and honest about what we were to experience. It was also great travelling with a small group of great people, including a French family who sang Happy Birthday to my husband during the lunch break at a remote lodge. Steve talked for almost 8 hours with depth and intricate knowledge of everything from plants, insects, biodiversity, politics, climate, globalism and even ice cream! He was 💯 correct that a tour into the Daintree needs to be with a guide, who can point out the hidden intricacies of this remote and ancient forest. Thank you, Steve, you have been the clear highlight of our time in Port Douglas, which appears to be a popular destination for Boomers run by young groovers who don't much like us ! We loved every minute listening to you. Kia kaha !
We had an amazing day exploring the Daintree Rainforest and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Port Douglas area. Our guide, Tomi, was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole day enjoyable from start to finish. He shared fascinating information about the rainforest, local wildlife, and the history of the region, while ensuring everyone had a relaxed and memorable experience. The itinerary was excellent, with highlights including the beautiful Mossman Gorge, a fantastic croc cruise, Cape Tribulation where the rainforest meets the reef, and a delicious stop at the Daintree Ice Cream Company. We also visited several stunning viewpoints along the way, each offering spectacular scenery and plenty of opportunities for photos. The small group atmosphere made the experience feel personal and unhurried. Overall, it was a fantastic day out and one of the highlights of our time in Port Douglas. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour.
