Dégustation illimitée de saké de Kyoto avec Sushi Omakase

This experience was definitely not what I thought it was going to be. For $50 you got 10 piece of nigiri and sake, which is wildly over priced for Japan and the quality was no where close to the markets. Sake is self serve, you can read what they printed out about it but that’s it. The kitchen is open concept with dishes and such piled up and visible, especially from the bar. They definitely start a timer on you when you walk it and the second 75 minutes hits it feels like you’re being kicked out. I left hungry and stopped at a 7/11 on my way back to the hotel. I did strike up a great conversation with one of the young men that worked there and he’s the only reason this is getting higher than a 1 star. Though I really didn’t like being told at the end I needed to leave a review before I left and have QR codes put in front of me. I said I’d work on it later and then I was given the WiFi to do it then and there. Obviously this is managements doing but it is not my responsibility to take my time and provide a review while I’m on an experience that I’m paying for to enjoy my vacation. Other bookings have asked and even offered gifts like magnets etc if you show them the review before you go but they don’t force you to do it.
