Great experience and tacos...
We had a fantastic time on this food tour! Rolo was personable, friendly, and a lot of fun. He did a great job mixing local culture and history, starting with the town square, before taking us to some incredible food stops. Every bite was delicious, and we got to experience places we never would have found on our own. It was a great experience for our whole family, from our 10-year-old to the adults. If you're visiting Cozumel, I highly recommend this tour!

An enjoyable couple of hours even though we were the only folks on the tour. Food was authentic and tasty guide Rollo was well informed about Mexican history’s
This is a must-do tour. Our guide, Rolo really knew where to take us to eat different types of tacos and even coconuts and ice cream.

It was an amazing experience with Rolo. He was so knowledgeable and very kind. It was more than we could have asked for . Food was some of the best on the Island

We decided to go on the food walking tour and it was wonderful! Our guide was Rollo. We did not feel like we were on a tour, more like a friend was showing us some great spots for food. He asked everyone if we had allergies or any food we did not like. We went to 3 restaurants and 1 for dessert. Our first spot was for authentic tacos, which we had the chicken Mole on blue corn tortillas, the second was fish or shrimp tacos and the third was something like a quasdilla (i forgot the name). Lastly, we had Popsicles. I have to admit I was skeptical when we went for Popsicles, but they were not a typical popsicle. I had the mango chili which had bits of real mango and my husband had coconut which had bits of coconut. It was more like eating frozen fruit, so refreshing and delicious! Our favorite food of the day was the Mole tacos, I will be dreaming of those and any mole I have in the future will be measured against Guisados. Rollo went above and beyond the tour. I asked him the best place to get Vanilla and he walked us to a great coffee shop that also sold vanilla. I would not hesitate to take this tour. It was informal in the best possible way. Felt more like walking around with a friend!
Thanks so much, Heather! I’m so happy you enjoyed your afternoon with Rolo and that the tour felt more like exploring Cozumel with a friend than being on a traditional tour. It sounds like the mole tacos made a lasting impression! 😊 We love sharing authentic local food, hidden gems, and the flavors that make Cozumel special. And that mango chili paleta is always full of surprises! I'm also glad Rolo could help you find some great vanilla to take home. Thanks again for your kind words and recommendation. We’d love to welcome you back for another local food experience in Cozumel someday!
Julio is friendly and very knowledgeable of the history of Cozumel. He has a warm personality and took us to wonderful authentic eateries. I would recommend his tour to everyone. While I was waiting at the clock Tower he came from across the way and called my name like we were old friends. Exceptional experience.
Thanks so much, Scott! I’m really glad you enjoyed the authentic food stops and learning about Cozumel’s history along the way. It was a pleasure meeting you, and I’m happy that welcome at the clock tower made you feel right at home. That’s exactly what our Cozumel food tour is about—great local food, genuine connections, and discovering the island beyond the usual tourist spots. Our tour was with Rolo. He was very informative about the island of Cozumel; the food, the people, etc. And within a few minutes he felt like an old friend. We had been to Cozumel at least 10 times over the years but he made us love it even more. Great tour!
