Traveling with my disabled daughter and other family. Johaan (sp) the youngest was super helpful and assisted me the entire time. Saul was an excellent historian. And the bus driver was excellent as well. Only not so great encounter was the other guy on the team. I didn’t realize the entire excursion wasn’t paid for as I thought I chose the one that was. Traveling with 6 people and had to pay “taxes” of $50 per person I just wanted to know why. But it was sorted out. I really enjoyed the excision as a whole. He could have been nicer and answered my why.
The guides were all amazing, but specifically Alex was brilliant. We were the only two English speaking in the tour and they really made an effort to make us feel included. The start of the day felt like they wanted us to shop and I would have appreciated more time at the later stops instead, as it felt like a lot of waiting. The last stop was very brief but I am not sure if this was as people were late - but there was only 30 minutes. All in all this tour was an absolute steal money wise, and the later stops were fantastic so I feel it was worth it. But if I chose to do this again I would pay extra to only do the cenote and chichen itza.
We made the tour to Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid, and it was spectacular. Well explained, good accompaniment, drinks always available. The duo Gonçalo and Brad Pitt Maya 😀 was fantastic, they always created a very fun and cheerful atmosphere.
The experience was excullent for this tour. The hospitality of the tour group was amazing. They picked up on time from my Rresort and dropped me at my resort door at night. They covered all places as per package. There is no hidden fees. Even they provided cold water and complementary drinks though it was not covered in my classic package. The tour was whole day but we did not feel when the day passed. Bus was fully AC & comfortable. We visited Mayan store near Chichen Itza first. We had a mexican buffet lunch there with Vegatble, chicken and multiple meats options. Then we visited Chichen Itza, Cenote selva Maya (saamal )and lastly valladolid. All the members were very helpful and cooperative like family members. Thanks to Caribe Mex group (Cristian, Gonzalo, Reinaldo & Orlando) for the guidance and support. Thanks to Viatore as well as I got connected this group through viatore. In one word it was amazing tour with best prices. *****
Santiago, Marcos and Yeti were great, had a really good time. Marcos was really knowledgeable and funny and yeti was really attentive to all our needs.Santiago did some great driving. Will definitely recommend.
An experience to do, for sure! However, know that you will spend more time on the bus than doing activities. 2h at Chichen Itza, 1h at the cenote and 30 min in Valladolid. Departure from the hotel at 7:20 AM and only a first stop around 11:00 AM for a shaman ceremony with a shop and a hearty lunch (!! If the drink-included option is chosen, print your reservation WITH the details to prove it, otherwise they insist on making you pay for the meal drink). Basically, only the afternoon for the 3 excursions, which is too short. Gaspar (the driver) and Roberto our guide were great! The trip there seems less long because Roberto gives quite a bit of information. The return trip seemed endless to us for a return to the hotel at 9:30 PM. Excursion to do, but expect a huge amount of bus time.
Great experience! There was an error in our booking with regards to the day of tour and they were able to fix it even during after hours. All the guides were great! Jose Luis and Charlie were knowledgeable and funny to keep us going through the hot tiring day. They made sure we were hydrated with bottled water and a nice cocktail/mocktail. Kudos to Gutierrez for all that driving and Christian for keeping us all on track! We started our day in Valladolid, followed by lunch. Then stopped at Chichen Itza followed by cenote. The one thing I would have preferred was to start at Chichén Itzá instead of reaching there after lunch in the peak heat hours. It’s was 95 degrees Fahrenheit! The cenote was great to cool off the heat!
It was extremely hot. One person fainted in Chechen Itza. I had an accident at the cenote and had lesions to my hip, hand and wrist. Someone was on site to disinfect and wrap some cuts. When filing the report with Selva Maya staff, they stated that previous accidents took place in the same place before. I slipped on the stairs and keep rolling down on the man made concrete stairs even with preventive water shoes.
There were hidden fees of $70 per person on top of what was already paid. ALOT of scammy sales occuring during the bus trip they took pictures without consent and then tried to sell them back to you on a bottle of liquor.
Great trip, well organised! Roberto is best guide in whole Mexico 🇲🇽 Himena makes the best tequilas! Greetings
