C'est une destination touristique célèbre de la province du Hunan qui a été officiellement reconnue comme site du patrimoine mondial de l'UNESCO en 1992. La formation en forme de pilier visible à travers le parc est le résultat de nombreuses années d'érosion. Avec une couverture forestière de plus de 90 %, la zone pittoresque comprend Yuanjiajie, Yangjiajie, Jinbian Stream et Wulongzhai. La culture et les folklores minoritaires sont représentés dans les villages et villes voisins, habités par les peuples Tujia, Bai, Miao et Hui, ce qui en vaut la peine.
Il s'agit de l'ascenseur touristique le plus haut et le plus rapide au monde et offre une vue spectaculaire sur la forêt des pics de grès. Il a une hauteur de 326 mètres et peut transporter 3 000 personnes par heure dans les trois ascenseurs transparents. Il ne faut que 88 secondes pour atteindre le sommet de la montagne.
Yuanjiajie se trouve dans le coin nord du parc national de Zhangjiajie. Cette région, caractérisée par d'imposants piliers de grès formés au cours de millions d'années d'érosion, est célèbre et populaire pour sa montagne Hallelujah, du nom des rochers flottants d'Avatar. Les attractions les plus populaires sont: Avatar Hallelujah Mountain, Premier pont sous le ciel et ainsi de suite.
Elle est connue pour 4 spectacles naturels : les nuages de brume qui entourent les sommets de la montagne, les vues imprenables sur le soleil levant, les nuits au clair de lune et les sommets enneigés de l'hiver. Ils comprennent plus de 80 plateformes naturelles pour admirer des paysages magnifiques. Prenez le câble jusqu'à la montagne Tianzi pour profiter de la vue et vous détendre.
Le pont de verre le plus long et le plus haut du monde se trouve également dans cette zone pittoresque. Marcher sur le pont à fond de verre situé à 300 mètres au-dessus du sol sera l'expérience la plus cool de votre visite !

My Zhangjiajie avatar mountain and glass bridge was great ! We had an awesome guide tour here name is Lillian . Even though our flight got delayed she gave us excellent service she waited for us checked on our flight delay and pick us up and dropped us off from airport she managed to still help us complete our tour she is very nice ! Overall great experience , incredible sightseeing view !

You could do this by yourself but why take the stress? It's a maze of queues, buses, cable car, lift, etc. Buses have multiple stops so you have to know where to alight. It's tickets and passports and face scanning. The glass bridge area is about 45m from the Avatar area and has separate admission, etc. BTW Tianmen mt is not on this tour. We thought it was well worth the price to have a guide. We got lucky w Amy who is the best guide we have had in many countries and many tours. She is friendly, funny and knows exactly where to go. The process was stress free.

Arianna was an excellent guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and allowed us to select specific activities that enhanced our tour (e.g. zipline, slide, and ferreta/cliff climbing). Tip for the slide - remove your shoes if wearing socks. Otherwise your rubber soles will slow you down significantly. The national park is spectacular. Lots of steps, shuttle rides on curvy roads, photo opportunities and snack options. Public restrooms are plentiful.

The tour was amazing from start to finish. A really nice car, there was so much to do in the tour and the guide Lillian was just exceptional. She was intelligent, multilingual, so well organised and she was kind and warm and attentive. She really made sure that we had a fun amazing experience and her descriptions and knowledge of the tour spots were perfect. Honestly probably the best organised tour I’ve ever been on. We had good viewing weather despite rain and the landscape (Avatar inspiration scenery!) is unbelievable and the elevator, glass bridge, cable car etc. are all exceptional.
