Cotopaxi es un estratovolcán activo en la Cordillera de los Andes, disfrutaremos de la vista desde que salimos de Quito, está a 2 horas. El volcán Cotopaxi es la segunda cumbre más alta del Ecuador, alcanzando una altura de 5.897 m. Es uno de los volcanes más altos del mundo. También podemos disfrutar de descenso en patines o bicicleta en el Parque Nacional. (equipo de alquiler, 10 dólares)

Quito, una ciudad capital en lo alto de los Andes, está situada dramáticamente, apretada entre picos de montañas cuya vegetación está oculta por la niebla de la tarde. Modernos edificios de apartamentos y modestas casas de concreto se arrastran por las laderas, y las concurridas calles comerciales bordeadas de tiendas y ahogadas por el tráfico se convierten en vecindarios tranquilos los domingos. Cálida y relajada, la cultura tradicional de la Sierra ecuatoriana (puestos de mercado desbordantes, curanderos chamánicos, sombrereros de cuarta generación) se mezcla con una vibrante y sofisticada escena culinaria y nocturna. Cuando te paras frente a esta montaña, a tu derecha está el norte, a tu izquierda está el sur, Quito tiene 64 km de largo y 4 km de pulgada, comenzando desde este volcán activo.
Lugar que la gente usa para descansar, comer. Nombre quechua Tambo. esta es pequeña, llamada Tambillo
Vamos a ver algunos barrios importantes de Quito, mientras salimos de la ciudad, también el contraste entre la parte norte y sur de la ciudad, entonces podemos ver cómo la Cordillera de Los Andes se divide en dos líneas, y las montañas más importantes y los cultivos de nieve van a aparecer en el camino, para mostrarnos una vista increíble. por ejemplo Pichincha, Atacazo, Corazón, Ilinizas, Cayambe, Antisana, Sincholagua, Rumiñahui y Cotopaxi. Si no desayunaste, podemos parar a comer, puede ser en Tambillo o Machachi. Continúa nuestro viaje, las montañas se acercan y vamos a tener algunas paradas para tus fotos YEIH .. Continuamos a la provincia de Cotopaxi, llegamos al Parque Nacional, luego tenemos un registro y pedimos un guía natural para ingresar al parque y continuar nuestra visita a la Laguna de Liopiopungo y caminar hasta el cultivo de nieve, mientras cruzamos el camino podemos ver caballos, pájaros y animales terrestres salvajes. Si somos curiosos podemos ver un Cóndor. Al finalizar nuestro recorrido por el Parque Nacional Cotopaxi, podemos almorzar en El Rondador para regresar a Quito. Volcán Cotopaxi, es la segunda cumbre más alta de Ecuador
Dentro del Parque Nacional Cotopaxi, esta increíble laguna en el frente de la montaña Rumiñahui (nombre quechua significa cara de roca) y Sincholagua hacen de esta una tierra de volcanes.

What can I say! We had a fantastic outing to Cotopaxi National Park today and all I can say is amazing! Our host and guide for the tour Felipe could not have been more helpful and professional. It all began with him reaching out to us at home once we booked the tour through the JW Marriott Quito website and he was there for us every step of the way. He sent us outlines of the visit via WhatsApp and kept us informed all along about our options including the expected weather, what clothes to bring and most importantly the fact that he was flexible and completely dedicated to making our experience memorable and satisfying. Felipe arranged to meet our group of four on arrival at the airport in Quito the night before our adventure and we were able to discuss everything we could expect the next morning. He met us at the hotel and gave us an excellent explanation and overview of the history of Ecuador and what we could expect for the day. We were more than satisfied with the day’s activities including well planned rest stops with food and water as well as buying opportunities with local establishments along the way. At the end of the day, he got us home safe and sound with plenty of time to rest and relax after a full day’s slate of activities. I would highly recommend Roller Bike Sports if you need a guide and most importantly a new friend in order to explore Ecuador! The experience was outstanding in all respects! Thank you Felipe!

We asked for English speaking guides. The driver to site spoke better English than the guide who did not interact other than to show us a few pictures in a book. On the volcano she kept running ahead of us without checking our welfare whereas the driver did. Highly disappointed as we know no more about Cotopaxi than we did before

He accompanied you throughout the experience, provided explanations in English, and was responsible for your safety and the fulfillment of the itinerary. For the short hike from the parking area to the refuge, Giovanni requested the assistance of a local native mountain guide, with the intention of offering an authentic experience with people from the area. These local guides are authorized to guide visitors on the mountain and ensure safe access to the refuge, however, they do not speak English and are not part of the official tour guiding service. Their role is strictly limited to route assistance. All activities included in the itinerary were completed as planned, and Giovanni remained attentive to your welfare at all times, both as your driver and certified guide. We truly regret if this arrangement was not clearly understood and if it affected your overall impression of the tour. Just take your time and keep moving. Weather was cold and slushy from snow , but doable with good hiking boots, coat and gloves. Cute rustic lodge at refuge. Great Guide Filipe
Amazing Place. Such a Cool Experience!… Great Company with Felipe from Carpe Diem!!! And such a cool restaurant to finish it off, Rondador! Great Food and love all the Animals there! Feed the Llamas and the Ducks and the Rooster and whatever else comes along! 🤪🤩🥳❤️🙏
This tour was amazing! From hiking up Cotopaxi to biking to the lagoon, there wasn't a second I wasn't having fun! Not to mention our top-notch tour guide, Felipe, that made the journey even more incredible. I learned a lot about the area and was constantly entertained at the same time. 10/10 would go again.
