Itinerario
Pase por comestibles, agua y comida para empacar y llevar al parque nacional.
Llegaremos a la Puerta Norte del parque nacional Cotopaxi entre las 9 : 15 a 9 : 30 am aprox después de conducir por la Avenida de los Volcanes
Paseo a caballo será la primera actividad a lo largo de este día durante aproximadamente la hora de vigilia / solo paseo a caballo dentro del parque nacional.
Conduciremos después del paseo a caballo durante unos 35 minutos desde 4000 metros (12000 pies) hasta 4550 metros (15000 pies) para comenzar la parte de caminata del día.
Comenzaremos la caminata hasta el objetivo Basecamp 4900 metros (16000 pies) durante aproximadamente 1 hora aprox para llegar al Refugio José Rivas. Donde podemos comer y recibir bebidas.
Nos quedaremos aquí y disfrutaremos del ambiente Basecamp y luego descenderemos al estacionamiento para comenzar el regreso
Saldremos de la nacional utilizando la puerta sur / lado turístico. Aproximadamente 3 horas de regreso del estacionamiento en el volcán

Lugares y horarios de recogida
Hora de recogida entre las 7 : 00 a 7 : 30 am dependiendo de su ubicación dentro de la ciudad principal de Quito. Esta información se confirmará a las 7 pm del día anterior una vez que sepamos el número final de ubicaciones de los participantes. Si usted se ubicó fuera de las áreas de recogida como : Cumbaya, Pifo, Tumbaco, Puembo, Sangolquí o Tababela (áreas del aeropuerto) podemos organizar la recogida y entrega por un cargo extra o podemos organizar un lugar para que se reúna con nosotros por Uber.

Horse riding was fun and it did feel “wild”, but very little guidance, however still accessible even if you haven’t done any riding. The walk up to base camp isn’t too exhausting if you are fit, however make sure to acclimatise a little

A great experience from start to finish, our guide was friendly knowledgeable and attentive, the horse riding was awesome, we really enjoyed riding around the national park on the local horses and the mountain hike was as described, not touristy! We felt like we almost had the place to ourselves. Definitely recommend those wanting to see the higher side of Ecuador and visit Cotopaxi Volcano.

Just a fantastic day from start to finish. Dario was a great guide and very knowledgeable. We were given clear instructions on what to take and where to meet. Horse riding was just fabulous. Little hiccup when the weather closed in and we decided not to finish the walk up the volcano but Dario took straight down to the most beautiful lake where we had a lovely walk and saw lots of birds. Really great tour. Had a great time horseback riding around the park with the beautiful scenery. The hike up to the base camp is tough but you are able to take it slow. I recommend hiking shoes as the routes are sandy and gravely. Fatima and Dario were excellent tour guides. Highly recommend!
