El tour puede comenzar por la mañana a las 9 :00 am o por la tarde a la 1 :00 pm – la hora de inicio es flexible para brindarle el máximo confort. Lo recogeremos de su hotel y comenzaremos a explorar el centro de Cusco. Cusco, también escrito Cuzco, es una ciudad en el sureste del Perú, conocida como la Capital Histórica del Perú y antigua capital del Imperio Inca. Descubrirás la Plaza de Armas, la famosa Piedra en Ángulo 12, la calle Loreto y algunas de las calles y edificios más importantes de la ciudad.
Desde la Plaza de Armas, caminará con su guía hasta Koricancha (Qorikancha), el templo más importante del Imperio Inca. Su nombre en quechua significa “Patio de Oro”, porque una vez fue ricamente decorado con oro. Aquí verás la piedra inca perfecta y aprenderás cómo este lugar sagrado fue utilizado para ceremonias, astronomía y adoración del Sol.
Luego, conducirá en su vehículo privado hasta Sacsayhuamán, uno de los sitios incas más impresionantes sobre Cusco. Esta enorme fortaleza es famosa por sus enormes muros de piedra, construidos con bloques perfectamente ajustados, algunos de más de 100 toneladas de peso. A medida que camina por el sitio, su guía le explicará cómo los incas construyeron Sacsayhuaman y por qué se considera uno de los mayores ejemplos de su ingeniería y habilidad arquitectónica.
Luego visitarás Qenqo (también escrito Q’enko o Kenko), un fascinante lugar ceremonial a pocos kilómetros de Cusco. Su nombre proviene de una palabra quechua que significa “zigzag”, en referencia a los canales tallados y las formas sinuosas en la roca. Aquí caminarás entre misteriosos altares, túneles y piedras talladas que se utilizaron para importantes rituales incas. Su guía le explicará por qué Qenqo es considerado un lugar sagrado (huaca) y compartirá las leyendas e historias relacionadas con este sitio único.
Luego, conducirá a Puca Pucara, que en quechua significa “Fortaleza Roja”. Este pequeño sitio incaico probablemente fue utilizado como un puesto militar y punto de control en el camino al Valle Sagrado y Machu Picchu. Desde aquí se pueden ver hermosas vistas de las colinas y valles circundantes. Puca Pucara suele visitarse junto con sitios cercanos como Tambomachay y Qenqo, por lo que es una parada perfecta para completar su circuito de ruinas incas alrededor de Cusco.
A continuación, visitaremos Tambomachay, un tranquilo sitio inca famoso por sus fuentes de agua cristalina y su fina cantería. A menudo llamado los “Baños Incas”, probablemente fue utilizado para ceremonias de agua y descanso por la nobleza inca. Este es un momento perfecto para disfrutar del aire fresco de la montaña, tomar fotos y seguir aclimatándose para su próximo viaje a Machu Picchu.
A continuación, se detiene en Cristo Blanco, la estatua blanca de Cristo que se encuentra en una colina sobre Cusco.
