We had a great time with Chris. He was a very informative and pleasant guide. The scenery was beautiful and the stops we made on the way were perfect. We would highly recommend Chris and would use him again if we have the opportunity.
My wife and I actually booked 3 different tours with Chris on 3 different days. While it was very foggy In the mountains on the day we went to Zakopane and couldn't really see as much as we hoped, we still had a wonderful time exploring the countryside and Chris made the trip fun, informative and even added some stops to give us more exposure to the local "highlander" culture in that part of the country. It was a great experience. Hopefully another time, we will have better views of the mountains but no one can control the weather or having just a limited amount of time to visit and we certainly understood that. I would absolutely book again with Chris.
Chris took us in his car to a lovely town with wooden houses prior to Zakopane. In Zakopane we had some free time and visited authentic (non tourist trap) restaurants and places. We would highly recommend Chris to anyone seeking a reasonably paced out and enjoyable trip to the mountains.
Zakopane was absolutely stunning. We have had no regrets taking a 3 hour drive up from Krakow with Chris. He expertly navigated the roads driving us safely while we rested and the view of the Tatra Mountains were simply spectacular. Our only regret was having to leave! We managed to find a scenic spot where we picnicked together instead of hiking to Morskie Oko lake because traffic conditions made that challenging on a public holiday. Zakopane was extremely beautiful, the air was fresh and crisp. We also had the chance to try traditional sheep’s cheese which is better than a lot of other cheeses I’ve tasted, and still made in the traditional way. Highly recommend planning visits with Chris who made the trip so memorable if you are in Krakow!
Christopher is an excellent guide. We contacted him months in advance. He requested no deposit and kept several days free for us! Clearly loves his city. Chris will do anything for you to enjoy. Walk the shops ( which he has probably done a thousand times) suggesting food. Helped with the funicular and finding places that weren’t wet. Despite the weather it was a great day. Great views of the ski jump areas. Mountain peak Snow peeked through the clouds at times. He didn’t laugh when hubby bought me a smurf rain poncho! He is reliable and feels like a old friend. He seriously is that easy. He didn’t even charge us until the end of our week Bravo Christopher. A memory to cherish
Christopher is an awesome driver and guide. His car is clean and he brings us water. He is very knowledgeable about polish history and the places we visit. For our zakopane tour he took us to a wood sculpting artist who made very nice pieces. We bought a few for us and our friends. Then he took us to try the cheese that’s famous in zakopane. He took us to a small place that made the cheese there and showed us how to eat it. We grilled it so the cheese melted then ate them with the cranberry sauce they provided. It was yummy. The highlight of our trip was going up the mountains. Christopher suggested we go up with cable car then walk to the lifts and take the lifts down. The views down the ski lifts are absolutely stunning. As a family our most important thing when using a guide is safety and knowledge and Christopher had both. He was also very patient with our requests. We would definitely use him again.
We did 4 tours with Chris, with the Zakopane Private Full Day Tour as the 2nd one. His car is very comfortable and his driving is superb. We had a mishap as our 2 year old daughter suddenly threw up in his car during the trip. Without hesitation, he found a nice safe parking spot and helped us deal with the issue. He was genuinely concerned about our daughter more than his car. Chris also took us to a nice local delicacy where we get to try the local smoked cheese with cranberry jam. He did most of the BBQing for us to make sure that the cheese are at the best state to eat. Along the way, he also explained a lot to us about the surrounding areas, history, people, etc. Didn't I tell you that he is a good photographer? He patiently took a lot of great pictures of us at the top of the mountain. Genuinely nice guy. Super recommended! Super dobry!
Chris is so personable, accomodating, and a safe driver. We stopped at the village of Chocholow on our way. The old wooden houses were so charming. My husband was thrilled that we stopped at the shop of a famous Polish wood carver. Zakopane was more beautiful than we had anticipated. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch there. What a perfect outing to see more of the Polish countryside. We highly recommend Chris. My husband and I travel extensively and use guides. Chris is one of the best.
Chris drive us to the mountain city of zakopane by route of an old church and sheep cheese makers we would have never known about. He pointed out polish history places along the way. He was very accommodating to out needs and what we wanted to see.
