Worth the time, and the price!

A fantastic experience, but it is a heavy one and a long one. It was definitely worth the time and money though. I would definitely advise purchasing the lunch through the tour too. Another group didn’t do that, thinking they would have time to eat during the break. They did not, due to the restaurant being busy they chose. The driver (Peter) was great and our tour guide was amazing too (at both stops).

Highly recommend

Great day but do realise there is a lot of walking involved and sometimes at a faster pace to keep together as a group especially in Auschwitz and Birkenau. The salt mine is amazing and stairs not bad going down. Would highly recommend the packed lunch as not alot of time or places to grab lunch. The roll was very fresh and enough to eat throughout the day. I do advise to bring water. Our driver, Thomas was excellent and a great sense of humour. Our group was fantastic. I definitely recommend this tour.

The joint tour is very grueling , be prepared with good comfortable walking shoes. Walked over 18,000 steps which included the stairs and halls of salt mine and both camps

Fantastic Trip a must do!!

Well worth it! Excellent trip. It was a long day a full 12 hours but worth it! Organised very well, communication excellent. Our driver Thomaz was excellent, on time and good clear communication and instruction ftom start to finish. We also paid the 40 zlotys for packed lunch which was very good, included large roll, chocolate crossiant, wafer bar, fruit and water. Very good! Would recommend the packed lunch. Both tour guides were excellent as well. Brilliant experience. I always use Viator when going on trips abroad and have never been disappointed. Will continue to book with Viator 100%

Well Worth the Walking!!

This was a great tour if you have limited time in Krakow and want to see both Aushwitz and the Saltmine. I will note it is a very long day and lots of walking (and stairs in the Saltmine) so keep that in mind. If you have the time, you may consider breaking the tours up over two days, otherwise definitely take this tour. I liked the smaller size (17 max in a van). All the guides at each site were wonderful and Peter (our driver) had recommendations for dinner in Old Town after. I would also recommend buying the bag lunch in advance, given the tight schedule. Be sure to check their WhatsApp message the day before the tour and let them know you'd like the lunch. You pay for it the day of, however, in cash.

This was a very long day that was a sobering experience. So glad we did do it. Well done to Viator the organisation and communication couldn't be faulted.

Great tour - would book again

Trip was excellent. Our driver Thomas was on time and quickly/smoothly made his way through the built up streets of Krakow. Unfortunately we were left waiting for some people to get on the bus, and that continued throughout the day; however, this did not affect the flow of the day. The tour of the salt mines was excellent, and then the tours of Auschwitz and Birkenau were heavy hitting, but still good. Keep in mind there are a lot of people also doing these tours and it can be cramped/busy in some of the buildings. You also have to pay to use the toilet at Birkenau, so maybe try to use the one at Auschwitz I, so you don’t have to pay. The only downfall was the size of the van. It was fully booked out and if you are anywhere over 6ft the trip is a little tight. Overall, good trip and worth it when not having to worry about public transport.

A full day but oh sooo worth it!

Pre trip communication with Julia was great. It made it abit easier to find the pick up point especially as we had arrived in the dark the night before.Pick up was on time. Peter our driver was lovely and prepped us really well for each place. He handed us over to our guide with no problems. We did the salt mine first…lots of steps but such a wonderful place. In parts it was beautiful and the guide was very knowledgable. I would recommend ordering a packed lunch which Peter gave us as there is a lack of places to eat. The lunch consisted of a large ham and cheese bap, a chocolate croissant, fruit, wafer, bottle of water for 40 zloty. Well worth it! Next we went to Auschwitz Birkenau. We went to both parts. It’s very informative and you got a real feel what it was like. Again Conrad our guide was brilliant. He answered questions and we never felt rushed. Although the day is long with lots of walking it is so worth it! We really enjoyed it.
