Itinerario
Recomendamos comenzar esta mañana sin desayunar. Su guía turístico lo recogerá a las 10h00 para comenzar una emocionante aventura en el casco antiguo. Mientras él te explica todo sobre la historia de Ecuador y Quito, el Imperio Inca, la invasión española y finalmente la independencia y el período republicano, ¡tendrás la oportunidad de descubrir nuevos sabores! Primero conducimos para visitar un mercado local, conocido como Mercado Central, donde podemos probar diferentes frutas tropicales exóticas y especialidades locales de la región de la Sierra.
Durante nuestro paseo, pasaremos por la Plaza de la Independencia, escenario de muchas batallas dramáticas de la revolución en la historia de la República del Ecuador; Aquí tendrá el privilegio de probar diferentes tipos de pasteles tradicionales salados y dulces. Tendremos el privilegio de ver la Catedral, el Palacio Arzobispal, la Iglesia de la Sociedad Sagrada de Jesús de Quito, la cumbre del estilo barroco latinoamericano.
Luego continuamos con el encantador barrio de La Ronda, donde será posible hacer una degustación de chocolate, y finalmente el Convento de San Francisco, construido en 1540.
Luego tendrá la oportunidad de conducir, cuesta arriba, para visitar la parte superior de "El Panecillo", donde se encuentra la alada Virgen María de Quito, y se considera la estatua de aluminio más alta del mundo. Luego, disfrutando de un sabroso cóctel casero conocido como "canelazo", tendrá una vista increíble del casco antiguo, el nuevo pueblo y el sur de Quito; incluyendo los increíbles volcanes nevados: Cotopaxi (19.350 f), Antisana (18.874 f) y Cayambe (18.996 f). Regresaremos a su hotel aproximadamente a las 14h00. Fin de nuestro auténtico y delicioso recorrido por la ciudad!

Luis made this 5 hour tour of Quito unforgettable! We toured the historic center, the newer part of the city , the Virgin statue up on the hill to get a sense of Ecuadors place in the middle of the mountains and volcanoes . We learned all about chocolate- how to taste it, and how special the Ecuadorian cacao is. Ended the tour in the big marketplace tasting fruit I've never heard of and having a delicious lunch there. Perfect introduction to this special city.

Freddie was an amazing guide and went above and beyond to ensure our family had a great day. Don’t let the “doesn’t include lunch” fool you. We tasted so many different foods (empanadas, snacks, ice cream, chocolate, cocoa, brownies, fruit @ the market) and were plenty full. When access was not available for one attraction, Freddie had another option at the ready.
