Loved this Urban or Street Art tour! Santiago was so informative. Appreciated his commentary on the art, the artists and the role street art plays in today’s Ecuadorian society. Would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in art and its contribution to social, political and cultural issues.
Santiago was Excellent! He is extremely knowledgeable and provided insights into the street art I would never have without a terrific guide. I highly recommend him.
We had an amazing experience with Santiago. He had so much knowledge about the street art and artists and the stories behind what we saw. We finished with delicious chocolate and coffee Highly recommended
If you are into street art and the culture, this tour is a must. Santiago is an amazing guide that not only knew the history and significance of each mural, but also knew a lot of the artists. His knowledge is amazing and there are so many beautiful murals here in Quito. Definitely take this tour with Santiago for a unique experience.
I highly recommend this tour if you love art or just want to see a different side to Quito! Santiago was full of information about the artists and the city. There are so many pieces to see and a vibrant art scene. We ended the day in a art collective where we had chocolate and a beverage.
We really enjoyed this street art tour. Santiago was an excellent guide, giving us information on the art, artists and also the wider cultural context. We appreciated the coffee (instead of cocktails) and chocolate at the art space at the end of the tour. I would thoroughly recommend this to anyone who is at all interested to learn about the street art of Quito.
A thoroughly enjoyable way to start my first afternoon in Quito. My guide Santi was waiting in the lobby for me and had organised transport to the start of the tour which began with some history of the city and the ways that street artists have evolved to share messages of the peoples struggles, dreams and aspirations. Santi was passionate about the subject and made sure that the pace was steady but not leaving me breathless. I think that street art is a great way to learn about a city and especially when led by a guide who wants to show you as much as possible in a few hours and finish off with a drink and some chocolate before ensuring you get safely back to your hotel.
Very interesting experience. We loved the hike with Santiago who is very professional. I recommend this activity 100%
We had a great time with Santiago for our street art and food tour around the La Floresta neighborhood of Quito. Loved visiting the Nudo art studio, seeing murals and learning about the various artists, and sampling some common Ecuadorian street food.
We had only one full day in Quito, so we hunted round for experiences that would satisfy our desire to learn more about the city through its food and street art. Bondabu was the only company I found that seemed to meet our requirements perfectly and we were not disappointed. We had a private Street Food Essentials Tour earlier in the day (reviewed separately) and then after a much-needed rest, we met up with Santiago again for the Urban Art and Drinks. It was fascinating! Santiago knew exactly where to take us to see a most wonderful array of street art featuring lots of different artists and styles. He is so knowledgeable, friendly and patient! He also took us to some incredible viewpoints across Quito. We called in to 2 great little spots for local artisanal beers - a very funky cinema and a cool micro-brewery. This was exactly the tour we were looking for. Thank you Bondabu, Ernesto for helping to organise our day and especially Santiago for being such a great host!
