Este recorrido explora las ricas ruinas romanas cerca de Argel. Descubre los restos de las ruinas romanas en la ciudad portuaria de Cherchell y visita un museo que almacena preciosas esculturas y mosaicos antiguos. Luego, explorarás una de las vastas ruinas romanas antiguas frente al mar Mediterráneo y la tumba del Mausoleo Real de Mauritania (es la tumba de la hija de Cleopatra)

Nuestra visita comienza con el antiguo museo en la explanada conocida como "Plaza de los Mártires", que alberga una rica colección de estatuas, mosaicos, tumbas funerarias, reliquias y lo invita a un viaje a la historia de Cherchell.
Luego cruzamos el camino nacional desde la explanada donde podemos ver la mezquita de "El Rahman" de una arquitectura algo inusual que se asemeja a un antiguo templo con capiteles jónicos.
luego continuamos hacia el sur a través de un callejón de esta pequeña ciudad para ver el gran teatro y luego el foro y volvemos por la carretera nacional a la puerta de Tenes y terminamos nuestra visita por los grandes baños termales del oeste.
Al conducir un automóvil desde Cherchell, puede ver las ruinas romanas de Tipasa que se encuentran al pie de la montaña Chenoua espectacular a lo largo de la costa mediterránea. Tipasa fue fundada en el siglo V aC por los fenicios, luego convertida en una colonia militar romana por el emperador Claudio primero.
El Mausoleo Real de Mauritania es un monumento funerario ubicado en la carretera entre Cherchell y Argel, en la provincia de Tipaza, construido en el año 3 a. C.

Very enjoyable, pleasant and informative trip with the local guide. Amount of places seen and the their historical significance makes the trip worthwhile. Would recommend it to anyone interested in ancient Roman history.
The day trip to Tipaza and Cherchell was a great option to explore some of Algeria beyond Algiers. Learning about the history and the ancient cities was fascinating and an ideal way to spend the day. The driver and the guides were both excellent and we left having had an excellent day on the Algerian coast

The guide, Yasmine, excellent. He also accompanied us to a place to eat in Tipaza. Both Cherchell, Tipaza and the mausoleum are worth it.
Booked this tour a few months prior to my trip to Algeria however on the day of the tour the guide was no show. Upon contacting the local tour operator they mentioned that there must have been a mix up with the Viator booking as they had no booking with my details. Really disappointing as I missed a great opportunity to visit two places with historical significance.

Through this tour, I had a valuable opportunity to learn about the history of the Kingdom of Mauretania and the Mediterranean region. The greatness of nature, history, and local life are beautifully and peacefully blended together, and the food was absolutely delicious 😋 It would have been quite difficult to get around efficiently on my own, but by joining a guided tour, I was able to visit many places smoothly and effectively. Many local sites have limited explanations in English, but thanks to the guide’s detailed explanations, I was able to gain a much deeper understanding of the area than if I had explored on my own. I had a private tour with Amin. He was very friendly, respectful and could tell a lot about everything. Everything was perfectly organized and I didn't have to worry about anything. He adapted the tour to my individual wishes. We were traveling from 9-14 o'clock as little traffic and lunch skipped at my request. I had an emotional moment in Tipasa from emotion (Camus place), Amin's human & respectful nature made it possible to share the moment.
