Itinerario

Easy pick up location by the lighthouse (by the Steamboat). Our tour guide Robert (a true New Orleanian) was a fountain of information, and was able to really contextualise what we were about to visit in an engaging and interactive way. The plantation visit (Oak Alley) was really eye opening- finding out about the lives of the plantation owners and some of the slaves, and the interplay between them. The swamp boat ride was also great - and a must for nature and animal lovers. A great package and an incredible tour guide.
An excellent day with a very knowledgeable and considerate guide who was a wealth of information. The only downside was that there was lot of Italian and Greek guests who talked over the host all the time on the tour bus and on the swamp boat ride. If you can’t speak English don’t book yourself on an English speaking tour!
Quite possibly the best thing about New Orleans - Dustin was incredible and I had the best time! Especially as a solo traveller - I felt really included and at every point there was something new and amazing to see! Everyone has to do this!
Awesome deal, all day tour for less than 150. The history lessons from bus tour guide, Dionne, and Oak Alley tour guides - PRICELESS. The swamp tour was awesome. I enjoyed watching the other tourists excitement!
Provided by Grayline tours Nee Orleans. Coach trip firstly to plantation - we chose Oak Alley. Lovely drive along the River Road. Plantation is great - actually had longer than we thought we’d get - 2.5 hrs. Had a timed entry tour of the ‘big’ house - took about 30 mins. Plenty of time to explore outer areas of the plantation, including the slave housing, the cafe is lovely & the gift shop worth a visit. Following this we were taken to the Cajun Pride Swamp tour company. Excellent swamp tour where we saw plenty of Alligators, Raccoons & Hogs. Our captain was brilliant - great humour & good knowledge of swamps. Our bus tour guide was lovely but we found the commentary a little difficult to follow as it was slightly disjointed & lacked clear flow. However, her knowledge was clear & we still learned a lot.
Making memories through history and storytelling is essential to a good tour. From drivers, to guides, to swamp boat Captains, we have set that high bar. They know each guest has goals when taking a tour, and they love to help them accomplish them.
Great bus driver, comfortable bus. The guide on the bus was very thorough and offered a lot of great history about NO. The boat captain and boat ride were the best part of the trip in my opinion.
