I recently returned from a wonderful four-day tailor-made trip to the Ecuadorian rainforest organised by Live Ecuador in April 2026, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. As a solo traveller looking for something authentic and far from the usual tourist trails, Meloni Carrera at Live Ecuador perfectly understood what I was hoping for and designed a completely personalised itinerary just for me. From start to finish, everything was exceptionally well organised. The trip was truly off-the-beaten-track and immersive. I stayed in a Waorani indigenous village, which gave me a rare and respectful insight into their culture and daily life. We did both day and night walks through the jungle, river trips, piranha fishing, and plenty of opportunities to engage in local activities. The wildlife encounters were unforgettable – playiong with villagers’ pet monkeys, a beautiful baby tapir, and many other wild animals in their natural habitat. I was lucky to have two fantastic guides. Carlos was an outstanding guide – knowledgeable, attentive, and passionate about the jungle. Guami was not only a great companion but also an excellent cook who prepared delicious meals throughout the trip. Meloni was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout. After I accidentally lost my phone in the river during one of the excursions, she stepped in to assist and made sure everything was sorted. That level of personal care really stood out. Live Ecuador is a reliable, professional, and trustworthy travel agent specialising in genuine bespoke experiences. If you want a safe, personalised, and authentic trip in Ecuador – whether it’s the rainforest or elsewhere – you can confidently hand over the planning to them. They listen carefully and deliver exactly what you’re looking for. I would highly recommend Live Ecuador to anyone seeking a meaningful, well-organised adventure. Thank you Meloni, Carlos, Guami, and the whole team – it was a trip I’ll never forget!

I booked a tour with you to the Huaorani Indian tribes. In my application, I wrote that I wanted the tribes I visited to include not only the elderly people and young children, but also young people. I wrote this because I've heard from other tourists that recently they only show the elderly, while seven years ago they showed both young and old, which more accurately portrays tribal life. However, you didn't take my request into account and didn't convey it to the tour organizers. Your photo on the tour booking website doesn't correspond to reality. It's good that I spoke with the guide in advance and expressed my requirements, and he tried to rectify the situation. However, to do it the day before the trip to the Indians, wasn't easy. It turned out that I bought the tour based on the photo you were selling, but in reality, there were practically no young people... As for the lodge and the rest of the program, everything was fine.
Dear Georgios_G, Thank you for your feedback and for sharing your experience with us. We’re sorry to hear that your expectations regarding the Huaorani community visit were not fully met. We understand your interest in experiencing a broader representation of the community, including younger members. However, as these visits are based on real community life, the participation of individuals can vary depending on their daily activities and cannot be guaranteed in advance. That said, we truly appreciate your comment and recognize that your request should have been better communicated to our local team. We will take this into account to improve our coordination and clarity in future experiences. We’re glad to know that you enjoyed the lodge and the rest of the program, and that our guide did his best to assist you. We also value your observation regarding the photos and will review them to ensure they accurately reflect the experience. Thank you again for your trust and valuable feedback. Warm regards, Meloni Live Ecuador Travel Group
