Las Ruinas Mayas de Chacchoben son la atracción mas popular y visitada para pasar un gran día en la Costa Maya. Esta a aproximadamente a 55 minutos en carro del Puerto de Costa Maya. Este sitio se encuentra a pocos kilómetros del pueblo de Chacchoben del cual se deriva su nombre. La traducción de la palabra maya "Chacchoben" hace referencia a "El Lugar Del Maíz Rojo". Las estructuras de este sitio se caracterizan por grandes templos y enormes plataformas que datan del 700 d. C.

A tu llegado al puerto de costa maya, luego de que desembarques tu crucero tendrás que dirigirte a la salida principal donde estan los taxis amarillos, ahí tenemos transporte con nuestro logo y uno de nuestros chóferes te puede llevar directamente a nuestra oficina donde haremos tu check in donde esperaras unos 15 minutos antes de salir a tu excursión y podrás disfrutar de una bebida de cortesía, para luego salir a tu primera parada a la Zona arqueológica de Chacchoben que tomara aproximadamente una hora en llegar.
Se parte de esta gran experiencia, disfruta y aprende un poco mas de una de las mas grandes civilizaciones que la humanidad a conocido "Los Mayas". Desde tu llegada al puerto Costa Maya te veras envuelto en la selva milenaria aquella que guarda los grandes secretos de esta civilización y que tu podrás conocer. Disfruta este tour que te llevara a conocer a una de las mas grandes ciudades del Sur de México. Al llegar a la zona arqueológica, déjate embrujar por las maravillas de sus construcciones. Visita, descubre y conoce mas de esto, viendo a los habitantes actuales de la Zona Arqueológica; los monos arañas. Deslumbrante con la hermosa selva a tu alrededor siempre verde, un clima tropical y los mosquitos que nunca faltan, recibiendo con animo a los nuevos visitantes.
Al terminar tu recorrido por la magnifica ciudad de Chacchoben. Tu chófer te estará llevando a la Laguna de Siete Colores (Bacalar) que toma aproximadamente 45 minutos conduciendo para poder llegar. Donde podrás disfrutar de una rica comida local y dos bebidas ( con alcohol o no alcohol) incluidas por persona; y también podrás nadar y apreciar sus hermosos colores.
Después de haber completado tu recorrido por la zona arqueológica y haber disfrutado nuestra hermosa laguna de siete colores. Tu Chófer te estará llevando de regreso al puerto de Costa Maya que tomara un tiempo aproximado de una hora con 45 minutos a 2 horas para llegar.

We had an amazing time. Luis was our personal tour guide. We were able to see the Chaccoben ruins AND the seven color lagoon. Most of the tours were either or, so if you don’t want to spend hours in the sweltering heat just to see the ruins, pick this tour because it was just the right amount of time at both locations. The tacos at the lagoon were amazing. I would come back just to spend a few days at the lagoon. There are lots of hotels and resorts in the area.
Ruins were great! Saw some monkeys as well. Seven color Lagoon Baclar was amazing. Victor our guide brought us right to the perfect spot, lunch was great and the water was amazing
Toucan tours went beyond above and beyond. The lagoons were beautiful and a great break from people. Everything was very well planned. Food and drinks included were outstanding. We were so lucky to have Rual, he was so kind and helpful. Thank you!
We loved it ! Our guide was Huitzi and he was great ! He was really helpful and went out of his way to accomodate us. We loved the temple and the blue lagoon was beautiful. He made sure to bring us back way on time for our ship.

The tour was very efficient providing good directions for meeting spot just outside of cruise port. It’s about an hour plus drive by bus to and from the ruins with about an hour to see the ruins themselves… 3 areas. Best part we saw monkeys in the trees. The bus driver was very nice and brought delicious pineapples during the provided lunch. I have a gluten allergy and they were very accommodating. Lunch included tacos of choice of meat. I had mine with vegetables instead of the shells. The resort area by the lake is very nice and we got to relax, swim, and enjoy lunch there for about an hour in a half. Then another hour drive back to cruise ship. We had about 30-45 minutes post tour to walk back from bus drop off to cruise ship. We were a bit nervous but made it no problem. All in all a really nice day out if you want to see some ruins, learn about the past, and do not mind lots of driving. :)

Awesome shore excursion. Easy to find right outside the port. Directions were exactly as described. Met by friendly staff and were very welcoming. Driver was great and reliable. Tour guide was knowledgeable and made it entertaining. Lagoon was relaxing and lunch was excellent. Thank you for the great service and tour!

Tucán tours has a team of professionals who give envy. Good people, willing us to have a good time. In an 8 seater van, we went to the ruins of Chakkoben and the Laguna Bacalar. Huitzi, our Aztec driver and guide, with his kindness and professionalism led us to the adventure of the Maya and finally to the Laguna Bacalar, precisely in the Hotelito el Paraíso, where a rich Mexican lunch (fajitas) and a very good margarita awaited us. There was nothing Ke Huitzi could improve. He was fantastic. Hopefully they can get to know him and get carried away with him and that travel agency in general.
