Opciones de la excursión
Itinerario

Loved that we had a small group of 7. For the snowmobiling, we were appropriately dressed at the site to weather the cold. The snowmobile guide was quick to assist if anyone needed help. So I felt totally safe. Our tour driver was great but needed a microphone as the people in the back of the van could not hear him. Loved the sites that we visited and appreciated the "lunch" break even if it wasn't on the itinerary.
Great tour of the Golden Circle with Edwin. Highly recommended!
Snowmobiling on the glacier was amazing! I wish the tour was just focused on snowmobiling and skipped the tourist spots. It wasn't super clear who was picking us up, in what vehicle, nor was it clear if/when we would get food. Thankfully I read reviews that said bring snacks - definitely bring snacks!! You don't get a chance to eat until pretty late in the day.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was my very first time snowmobiling, and I honestly couldn't have asked for a better guide than Jon Thor! What stood out immediately was his patience. He never made anyone feel rushed or nervous — and with a group ranging from 14 to 63 years old, that was no small feat! He made sure every single person, regardless of age or experience, felt comfortable and confident before we set off. Jon's detailed explanations were a game changer for me personally. As a first-timer, I had no idea what to expect, but his clear, step-by-step instructions gave me the confidence I needed to actually enjoy the ride rather than worry about it. By the time we hit the snow, I felt completely prepared. He has a natural ability to connect with people of all ages and skill levels, making the experience fun and inclusive for everyone in the group. It truly felt like no one was left behind. If you're thinking about snowmobiling — especially for the first time — Jon Thor is exactly the kind of guide you want leading the way. Patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely dedicated to making sure everyone has an amazing time. Absolutely unforgettable!

There was a LOT of sights on this trip but the snowmobiling was by far the most fun. The guides were all very helpful and a ton of fun. This is a long day but if you want a day packed with activities without hassle this is the way to go

Brilliant time on the glacier!
Hello Darcyla Thank you so much for this wonderful review and shoutout to Edgar. Best regards, Einar Mountaineers
We loved being in a small group. The super jeep was a good choice. We hit 1 stop on the Golden Circle on the way to the glacier to snowmobile. Our driver didnt speak the best English so a little hard to understand at times. We then headed to the glacier. The closer we got the worse conditions got. By the time we go to the snowmobile it was whiteout conditions. The snow and wind were blowing so hard you could hardly see the snowmobile in front of you. But we never felt unsafe. We had a guide up front, in back and one of each side. Wish we could have seen the glacier, but with the wind and snow we really couldn't see a thing. On the way back to base camp our jeep got stuck. Another truck had to come pull us out. After we finally got back to the main road we stopped at the other 2 golden circle stops. Which were all very nice. I would definitely make sure you take sandwiches or something to eat. Thankfully we did, because we didnt stop anywhere that had food until 3ish. Overall it was a great experience. Just wish thr weather had cooperated better, but that is out of the company's hands. Still a really great time and would recommend doing this tour!!
Hello Thank you for your detailed and positive review! We're so glad you loved the small group vibe, the Super Jeep adventure, and felt safe even in those tough whiteout conditions—our guides always prioritize safety with that extra coverage (front, back, and sides). Sorry the weather hid the glacier views and caused the jeep to get stuck; Iceland's weather can be unpredictable, but we're thrilled you still found it a great overall experience and enjoyed the Golden Circle stops! Great tip on bringing snacks—we'll remind future guests about that too. We truly appreciate your recommendation and would love to welcome you back when the skies are clearer for those epic glacier views! Best regards, The Mountaineers of Iceland Team
Great tour with smaller group size not a tour van full of people is definitely a perk. Plenty of information given along the drive. I would definitely recommend
Hello Thank you for your great review! We're so pleased you enjoyed the smaller group size perk—it really makes for a more personal and enjoyable experience! Thrilled to hear the info along the drive added value too. We truly appreciate the recommendation and would love to welcome you back for another fantastic tour anytime. Best regards, The Mountaineers of Iceland Team
Personalised experience from pickup to drop-off our guide was genuinely so passionate about getting us everywhere at the best times such as seeing the sun setting over thingvellir national park. We were in a super jeep (modified defender) with another 2 so very personalised and stopped for perfect time ~40 mins at Gullfoss and geysir The snowmobiling was an awesome introduction, you get a briefing then follow each other in a line up the glacier, stop for photos and switch driver if needed at the top on way down. Viator and Mountaineers of Iceland were brilliant to contact around pickup time, answered instantly. Massive thanks to our guide (sorry to forget your name) you really made our trip and I hope your resteraunt trade is booming over the coming months in your other venture. Dan
Hello Dan Thank you for your heartfelt review, Dan! We're over the moon to hear this was such a personalised, magical experience—from the stunning sunset over Thingvellir in the Super Jeep to the awesome intro snowmobiling on the glacier (with photo stops and driver switches). It sounds like the perfect day, and we're thrilled Viator and our team made pickup smooth and responsive too! A massive thank you right back for the kind shoutout to your guide (no worries on the name—we'll pass the love along!). Wishing him all the best with his restaurant venture too—hope it's booming! We'd love to welcome you back for more unforgettable Icelandic adventures anytime. Best regards, The Mountaineers of Iceland Team
