La mina de sal se encuentra muy cerca de Cracovia en la cercana ciudad de Wieliczka. La historia de la sal en este lugar ha comenzado hace casi 5000 años. Sin embargo, la mina comenzó a hacerse más profunda desde finales del siglo XII. Sus nueve niveles descienden hasta los 327 metros (357 yardas) y la longitud total de los corredores supera los 3 km (1,86 millas). La temperatura en una mina es de 16 a 17 C (60 a 63 F), por favor considere eso cuando elija su ropa. Use zapatos cómodos. La ruta tiene 3,5 km (2,2 millas) de largo y habrá 800 escalones, la mayoría de ellos hacia abajo. Podemos empezar un viaje cuando quieras. El conductor lo recogerá del lugar preestablecido (hotel, apartamento, etc.) a Salt Mine en Wieliczka. Viajar en un coche cómodo y espacioso tomará aproximadamente 30 - 40 minutos. En el destino, nuestro conductor le mostrará la entrada a la Mina de Sal y lo apoyará hasta que comience la visita guiada. This was a great tour! Easy to connect with the driver on a very nice van for the drive from Krakow. Knowledgeable driver and easy to communicate with on what's app and good English! Easy drop off with tickets pre purchased so all we had to do was get to the assembly point to go into the mine. We got to the exit point at the different location and he found us easily. Highly recommend. The salt mine type itself was very informative and interesting, glad we saw it! The chocolates, cooking salts and bath sales were also great giftables!

My wife and I met Hubert at Krakow airport by chance on arrival when looking for an airport taxi. On route to our hotel and on enquiry about our trip, Hubert provided us with excellent recommendations around Krakow and also recommended the salt mine as part of our final day (due to an evening flight). Hubert met us at our hotel on the day, took us to the mines and then subsequently took us to the airport after the tour. He kept our bags safe in the van while we toured the mines. Hubert seamlessly organised earlier access to the mines when we were slightly early for our own pre-booked slot. I cannot rate him highly enough and would seriously recommend this service if you’re looking for a top class service at a very great price! You won’t be disappointed!
We booked this trip very last minute. Hubert our driver picked us up on time and even managed to get us in earlier than our scheduled slot which helped us out massively as we were on a tight time schedule due to flying home later on in the day. The tour was brilliant, vey informative and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour especially with the private transfer as this made the trip seamless. The tour was easy to arrange, considering we only booked it the day before, we got the time that was convenient for us. The transfer from the hotel was comfortable. we had to wait about 15 minutes after getting out from the mine to get the transfer back, but this wasn't an issue for us. We got dropped off at our chosen location. Overall great experience. Thank you.

Our trip to the salt mines was the epitome of stress free travel. Hubert, our driver, arrived on time (actually a few minutes early). We were picked up at our hotel. We chatted on the way to the salt mines, filling us in on life in Poland. When we arrived, Hubert walked us to the line for our tour (it can be a little confusing, lots of people waiting around for the tours). When the tour was over, Hubert was waiting for us. He dropped us off at the airport afterwards. Hubert was very nice, considerate, helpful, punctual, and all around pleasure to be with. Since we had our luggage with us as we were heading to the airport directly after the tour, the extra cost was definitely worth it. I very highly recommend this tour.
