Mindo es una pequeña ciudad en las estribaciones andinas de Ecuador. Ubicado en un hermoso bosque nuboso, atrae principalmente a los observadores de aves, pero también tiene atracciones para otros turistas. Mindo se encuentra al noroeste de Quito. Esta localidad fue fundada en 1861 y la población actual ronda los 3000 habitantes. Mindo está rodeado por el Bosque Nuboso Mindo-Nambillo; el bosque alberga cientos de especies de aves, muchas de ellas en peligro de extinción. Aquí tienes la posibilidad de elegir entre actividades que no están incluidas en el precio del tour; como caminar por la cascada, hacer canopy / tirolesa, participar en el proceso de elaboración del chocolate y explorar el mundo de las mariposas.

Itinerario
Punto de encuentro en la oficina Carpedm. Salida a las 7 de la mañana de la oficina de Carpedm. Partiremos hacia Mindo. El viaje dura aproximadamente dos horas y media. Nuestra primera parada son las tirolesas o Canopy, como lo llaman aquí, ya que está literalmente sobre el dosel. Hay 10 líneas en total y si te sientes valiente, incluso puedes probar con Superman o Butterfly. Después de aproximadamente una hora de diversión llena de adrenalina, se dirigirá hacia Tarabita, que es un teleférico que lo lleva al comienzo de su caminata en cascada. Mientras camina por el bosque nuboso, podrá ver una variedad de diferentes aves y mariposas. si trae un traje de baño, puede nadar en el agua cristalina. Una vez que se haya secado un poco nos dirigiremos a almorzar. Después del almuerzo, las actividades opcionales son: 1. Visita a la fábrica de chocolate (no incluida en el precio). O 2. Visita a la Granja de Mariposas / Colibríes (no incluido en el precio)

Butterfly Garden en Mindo verá más de 100 coloridas mariposas flotando a su alrededor. Torre de observación y cubierta Observe colibríes.

Such an amazing experience seeing and interacting with the animals of the forest. The hike to the waterfall was so peaceful and nice. The cable car ride had breathtaking views.

I did two excursions with CarpeDM : Quilotoa and Mindo. It's really comfortable because everything is included : transport, guide, lunch. I've been to Quilotoa and Mindo with Alejandro. He's really a good guide. He knows very well the nature and animals from Ecuador, so he'll give you good explanations about what you're going to visit. He's really nice, speaks very well English. Our day trip to Mindo with Alejandro was incredible! He was knowledgeable, friendly and showed us an incredible experience. We learnt so much and even helped spot some Tucans for us and hold butterflies! We were apprehensive at first for paying for the day trip vs doing it ourselves, but we were so thankful and happy with our decision after an amazing day. The trip far superseded our cotapaxi trip (although also great) Thanks so much!

We had a magical day in Mindo, seeing hummingbirds, butterflies, doing the waterfall trek and a tour of a chocolate farm. Alejandro was absolutely brilliant, the best tour guide I had in Ecuador - informative, helpful, lovely and chatty. He helped us understand mindo and we learnt a lot about Ecuador too. He also helped us to spot Toucans! Great experience.

An amazing day trip from Quito. Our guide, Alejandro, was very knowledgeable and interesting telling us many facts about the landscapes, plants and history of the area. I would recommend visiting the birds, ziplining and going to the chocolate factory.
