Descripción
Para muchos visitantes al Perú e incluso a América del Sur, una visita a la ciudad inca de Machu Picchu es el punto culminante esperado de su viaje. En una ubicación espectacular, es el sitio arqueológico más conocido del continente. Esta imponente ciudad antigua nunca fue revelada a los conquistadores españoles y fue virtualmente olvidada hasta principios del siglo XX.

Itinerario
A las 3.55am, comenzarán las recogidas en el hotel, así que ¡levántese temprano y listo! Lo conduciremos a la estación de tren en Ollantaytambo, donde tomará el tren de las 6.40 am, llegando a Aguas Calientes alrededor de las 8.00 am. A su llegada, su guía lo encontrará en la estación de tren en Aguas Calientes para llevarlo al bus, hasta Machu Picchu. El viaje en autobús es de unos 30 minutos. Debe llegar a Machu Picchu alrededor de las 8.45 am y entrar al sitio. Durante un recorrido por este magnífico lugar, su guía bilingüe le explicará todo sobre el sitio histórico de Machu Picchu y visitará los principales lugares dentro de la ciudad perdida. La visita guiada durará entre 2,5 y 3 horas. Después, tendrás tiempo libre para pasear y admirar este lugar impresionante por tu cuenta. Es posible salir del sitio para comer un bocadillo en la cafetería y luego volver a ingresar. Su boleto es válido para todo el día. Opcional: Puede escalar la montaña de Huayna Picchu (los boletos se deben comprar al momento de la compra de Machu Picchu), que es un viaje de ida y vuelta de 1.5 a 2 horas. Este viaje es sin guía. El horario de entrada es de 10.00 a 11.00 am, por lo que si decide realizar esta excursión, su visita guiada será más rápida para terminar a tiempo para ingresar a Huayna Picchu. Después, descenderá a Aguas Calientes, la ciudad que lleva el nombre de sus aguas termales. Se puede llegar en autobús: es un viaje de 30 minutos y los autobuses salen cada 5 minutos. Luego regresará en tren a Cusco. Puede elegir el tren de 4.12pm para regresar directamente a Cusco, o el tren de 7.00pm para regresar a Ollantaytambo - el viaje en tren es de aproximadamente 1 hora y 40 minutos. Un minibús lo estará esperando en Ollantaytambo para llevarlo a Cusco (aproximadamente 90 minutos).

Try to find a taxi to get to the station and to come back you will save at least 3 hours because in the morning the bus goes around the hotels and the same for the return
Courteous people but precarious structure. Breathtaking landscapes along the way. Long distance but worth seeing. I highly recommend it.
Heidi did an excellent job coordinating our last minute plan to Machu Picchu. She picked us from the train station and sent us our way to Machu Picchu with clear instructions and accommodations . She couldn’t buy entrance tickets due to local protesting but her tour guide was able to help us get tickets. Ronals (aka Ronaldo) was our tour guide. The experience was one of a kind! We were up at Machu Pichu before Sunrise, when the sun came up it was a one in a life time experience.
Everything was planned as they mentioned and amazing as they described it. The whole experience I had transportation and guidance when needed. They were always waiting ahead in each point of the experience. I didn’t feel lost.
As soon as we contacted Heidi, she carefully planned our three day Cusco trip. She’s a pro and knew exactly what we were looking for. A half day city tour where we toured the historic city of Cusco and it’s nearby archeological sites. A trip through the Sacred Valley where we made various stops through its picturesque towns and ancient sites. And an overnight stay in Ollantaytambo before departing via train the next morning for our visit to the incredible archeological site of Machu Picchu. The perfect hotels and wonderful tour guides made it a trip to remember. After a difficult year for all of us, Heidi made us feel welcomed to Cusco and the region and made sure our trip was safe and organized. Though some restrictions are still in place because of the ongoing pandemic, all of the trip is outdoors and did not interfere with our stay.
