Evelia was a great guide, she speaks English very well, has amazing stories to tell, and patiently and accurately answered all our questions and more. Thanks to her, we had an amazing day and many unforgettable experiences. She took us to special, authentic places all around the lake, and introduced us to the actual people making authentic, artisanal products like honey, chocolate, woven fabric, and more. It was amazing to hear the actual people explain and demonstrate their craft. We learned some surprising facts about the region and it's people (that I won't spoil for you here). A big plus for us was knowing all proceeds for this tour go to local people, like Evelia. I highly recommended this tour, and Evelia as a tour guide. Matyox chawe, Evelia!

My husband and I took this tour with Vick and enjoyed our day. We were staying in San Pedro, so it was a nice way to explore two other villages (plus San Pedro) on Lake Atitlan. The tuk-tuk rides were fun, and I especially enjoyed the lancha to Santiago. The tour was a bit more focused on shopping than we expected, primarily in San Juan, but I really enjoyed visiting a women's collective for weaving. We also visited a church in each of the 3 villages, a market, a park with a cool sculpture of the lake and its villages, a bee farm, and a chocolate factory. I think the tour could benefit from a little more information on the history and culture of the villages, but overall it was a nice way to spend the day and I'm happy we did it.
Thank You for Your Valuable Feedback! Dear Laurel Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughtful review of your tour with Vick! We’re delighted to hear that you and your husband enjoyed exploring the vibrant villages around Lake Atitlán, from the scenic "lancha" ride to Santiago to the unique tuk-tuk experiences. It’s wonderful to know you appreciated the visits to the women’s weaving collective, the local markets, and the cultural stops like the churches and the bee farm each chosen to highlight the artistry and traditions of the region. We truly appreciate your constructive note about the balance of shopping and cultural insights. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we’ll certainly discuss ways to enrich the historical and cultural context shared during the tour while maintaining its dynamic pace. Our goal is always to offer a perfect blend of education, immersion, and fun! It was our pleasure to welcome you, and we’re so glad the tour added to your Lake Atitlán experience. Should your travels bring you back to Guatemala, we’d love to help you discover even more hidden gems. Warm regards, Guide Vick Contact : +502 54300439
