La histórica mina de sal se encuentra a unos 10 km de Cracovia y está en la primera Lista del Patrimonio Mundial de la UNESCO (1978). La mina actual se estableció en el desvío de los siglos XVIII y XIX (aunque la historia minera alcanza aquí la antigüedad). La ruta turística pasa por los lugares más interesantes de la mina que consta de 22 cámaras que están conectadas por caminos de sal de unos 3 km de longitud. Las cámaras están ubicadas a una profundidad de 64 a 135 metros bajo tierra.

What an incredible experience, especially on a boiling hot day! Daniel picked us up from our designated hotel and we whisked along from Krakow centre in blissful AC and a quiet group of people. The mine itself is spectacular! The descent down gives you no idea what to expect when you enter the tunnels and breath the cool, salted air (great for asthma and COPD people). The cavernous main hall with its chandeliers is a sight to behold. The elevator ride back up was perfect after 2 hours of walking through the mines. And the ride back to Krakow was equally a great ending to a perfect way to spend a morning.

We were well taken care from the moment our driver Daniel picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off to the wonderful guide who took us deep into the most amazing, cavernous experience we have ever been on. Being able to skip the long lines for entry was an additional plus. We recommend everyone should book a full package tour of this remarkable experience.

The tour was well organized; the transportation was reliable and clean, and the guides who got us there and back were friendly and courteous. Absolutely fabulous, great driver and guide truly unique experience. Please be aware you do need a level of fitness for this trip as there are lots of steps and walking to negotiate. Also when you have finished the tour the coffee is lovely in restaurant but be aware it is a 20 to 25 minute walk to get to lift to the surface
Fantastic trip. The salt mine was amazing well worth it. The guide was very informative and made things enjoyable. Would recommend anyone going to Krakow to do this trip they will be amazed
Great experience from start to finish. Thomas picked us up from our hotel and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He stayed with us right up to entering the Saltmine and was outside waiting for us at the end. Would highly recommend.
