Parque Nacional de Þingvellir – Patrimonio de la Humanidad de la UNESCO donde se puede caminar entre dos continentes! Explora paisajes dramáticos formados por las placas tectónicas cambiantes de América del Norte y Eurasia. Este es también el lugar histórico del primer parlamento islandés, fundado en 930 d.C. Área geotérmica de Geysir – Pasaremos alrededor de una hora explorando este increíble campo geotérmico, hogar de burbujeantes fuentes termales, respiraderos humeantes y el famoso géiser Strokkur, que entra en erupción impresionantemente cada pocos minutos. Tendrás tiempo para caminar por la zona, disfrutar de la belleza natural y capturar fotos increíbles. Cascada Gullfoss – Conocida como la “Cascada Dorada”, Gullfoss es una de las maravillas naturales más emblemáticas de Islandia. Daremos un paseo por los senderos de observación para experimentar la cascada de cerca desde diferentes ángulos, y tendrás mucho tiempo para tomar fotos y disfrutar de las impresionantes vistas.
Cráter Kérid – Un llamativo lago de cráter volcánico con vibrantes pendientes rojas y negras que rodean una piscina azul profundo en el fondo. También puede caminar hasta el nivel del agua para experimentar la atmósfera pacífica desde el interior del cráter. We truly appreciate Viator of their full understanding and accommodating our group’s changes. The change was made in less than 12 hours before the trip. It was not an easy situation as the schedule changes due to different agendas and the local weather. Viator worked with us promptly and professionally. Taking a private tour was the way to go. See the beautiful sites without the rush or waiting for 40 people to get off the bus!!! The Golden Circle is a must see.

Our driver was very friendly, very accomodating and we felt safe with his driving. However, we certainly didn't get any knowledge of Iceland from him, we may as well have just booked a taxi to take us arouind. A friend went on one recently and also go a guide in with their tour, they learned all sorts. We thought that is what we were getting but sadly that was not the case.

Please note that all of our drivers are highly experienced, professional, and safety-focused, and their primary responsibility is to ensure a smooth and secure travel experience. In-depth historical and cultural commentary is provided in our guided tour packages, which must be selected at the time of booking. Additionally, our driver informed us that during much of the tour, you and your companions were engaged in phone conversations and discussions among yourselves inside the vehicle, which also limited opportunities for interaction. We regret if there was any misunderstanding regarding the type of service booked, and we always encourage guests to contact us prior to the tour if they would like to upgrade to a guided experience. The Golden Circle is a wonderful way to see a good portion of Iceland. We liked having a private tour person so we could be on our own schedule. Unfortunately, our guide, although a nice guy, was unable to provide any information about anything we were taken to or even whilst we had lengthy times in the car. We had to even ask where we were going next and how long would it take. He just dropped us off. No information about Iceland or the places we were visiting was offered. It was nearly $1,000 US $ and much too expensive to have a guide with no knowledge of what we were seeing. Disappointing to say the least. If you can get a guide who is from Iceland who knows the area instead of a person who is not from Iceland, you will have a better experience than us.

Driver was good, drove safely and pleasant. Charge was very high and included in Golden Circle is Blue Lagoon, a 15 minute ride from the airport. yet, Viator wanted to charge us an added $180 for drop off at airport that took the drive 15 minutes extra. Outrageous.
