It was one of the best organized, professional and most importantly, a fun tour in Quito - Quilotoa - Banos, Ecuador. We had a lot of fun and learned new things during every stop. Irene (our tour guide) is the best tour guide anyone could ever ask for. Her passion for her country and the knowledge that she has to share is outstanding and very inspiring. You could feel the love for her country in every word. It was definitely a unique and unforgettable experience. 100% recommended with Irene!
Had an awesome time on our 2 day 1 night tour from Quito to Banos and back to Quito. Irene our tour guide was excellent !!!!!
We give it a three star only because day one was all over the place. We had Ayrton for our guide both days and the itinerary was not exact to what it says for booking. We planned our day accordingly based on what was listed on the 2-day trip and that is not how day one went so there was confusion and very little communication as to what was going on. Day two really made up for day one as it felt like we were mostly in the car all day for day one. Day two we got to get out and enjoy fun activities. We go on guided tours a lot and normally they are spot on with timing and todo list so we were disappointed to see how unorganized this was. We also noticed that the trip wasn’t informative like other tours. We like to learn as we go… that is the guide job to teach and those two days we learned very little. Day two we were only supposed to do 2 things and head back to Quito which is why we booked it because we had a busy long day trip the next day , instead we got back to our hotel at 11pm at night and the tour guide left us with the bus driver 30 mins before getting dropped off to head home for the night which we thought was bizarre. Day one we made a 2 1/2 stop at a location and we were told to be back at the bus ready to leave by 230( while everyone has free time to eat and hike) 230 our family and other guest were ready on the bus. The guide told us he needs to now eat his lunch while we wait. We sat for an addition 30 min while he ate his lunch which made no sense considering he could have at when everyone else did. For the price paid it was crazy how unorganized. Overall if you’re a go with the flow type of person then this could be good for you but if not this isn’t the excursion for you.
A very nice tour with Irene, an exceptional Guide, very good energy, lots of group listening, 100% recommended. Unique places. Also highlight driver Andrés for his availability throughout the journey.
First, I would like to thanks Guides who were with us on this excursion, the first one was Angel, unbelievable guy, smily, kind, didn't hesitate to make stops anywhere we wanted to enjoy views of Quilotoa, Cotopaxi, we met people from indigenous community, he shared history and culture of Ecuadorians people, thanks to him a lot. The next day was with Andres (bus driver), and Irene as guide , amazing people, we enjoyed sharing the lunch with them, especially in this lovely restaurant and all the day was a succession of sharing moments, laughs, we can see that Irene loves what she's doing and make us feeling really comfortable. She also takes the time for us to enjoy and do whatever we want to do, she's lovely, shared with us all her knowledge's about places where we've been, teached us some Quechua language, legends from her country, she's so funny and more and more, thank you all for this incredible experience :) I recommend 200%
This tour was great! Our tour guide, Adrian, was really knowledgeable and made the trip really fun. It was organized well and had great stops along the way. It’s a bit expensive, but you will definitely have a good time.
I went on a phenomenal 3-day tour with Quito Tour Bus that took us to Quilotoa, Baños, and Cotopaxi. It was an awesome adventure tour made even better by our tour guide, Dani and driver. The stops and logistics were well planned out. I received detailed information about the tour and pick up time the night before from the coordinator, Grace who arrange my pick up at an AirBnB. Our group was a total of 4 backpackers plus Dani and the driver. Dani is by far the best tour guide I have ever had. She is knowledgeable, spirited, enthusiastic, and has so much pride in showing people her country. She went above and beyond to show us (and in some cases, have us taste) the local gastronomy in the form of ice creams, candies, fruits and other dishes and drinks. She was the right amount of engaging without feeling like she had to talk for the entirety of the tour. The tour involves many hours in a van driving to each location. The van we were in was very comfortable. Breakfast was provided and included for us at our accommodations for two mornings of the tour. Everywhere we ate felt authentic and natural based on our itinerary. We loved this tour and thought the value was high for what we paid for. I will definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Ecuador!
Andrés was our professional driver. He drove very safely for two days, with zero issues or concerns. Adrián was our personal guide who guided us through both days of Quilotoa/Banos. He provided friendly conversation and interaction while keeping the schedule. He made intelligent adjustments to the schedule, according to the weather, and provided us with spectacular views. He also added in personal flair to the trip, I hope you get the same experience by having him as your guide. You can make a special request for him while booking.
I loved every part of this trip - such a brilliant way to see some of the natural beauty of Ecuador and understand the ways of life. It enabled me to see all the highlights without feeling rushed which was perfect for me as I was on quite a tight schedule. A bonus we were blessed with great weather but I don't doubt it would still be brilliant without. Pack for changes in climate! It was chilly in the highlands, and shorts weather in Banos - especially for the waterfall and canopying. Andres our driver was wonderful - I felt so safe on the trip and he was always ready with a smile and helping hand. Adrián was an absolute stand out guide - one of the best I've ever had. Kind, fun, friendly and knowledgable, a total gem. Adrián was also my guide for Cotopaxi the day before and he was brilliant with our larger group - flexible and supportive with everyone's mixed abilities and needs. Thank you for a memorable three days 😊
Dani and Ivan were our tour guides. We did SO MUCH and it was so fun! Definitely recommend. The price is extremely reasonable. The tour guides speak English and help with every aspect of the trip.
