We booked this tour directly through the website quitotourbus.com. But since we wanted multiple tours, we messaged Quito Tour Bus via Whatsapp, told them which tours we wanted, and they sent the payment link so we could pay a one-time payment. Mitad del Mundo tour was amazing. From before boarding the double decker bus to the end of the tour back at Naciones Unidas, Pamela, our tour guide, and Oscar our bus driver, both were fantastic people. Pamela gave us history brief about Quito, diverse geography of Ecuador, and the surrounding mountains and volcanoes. She was knowledgeable, and she imparted that knowledge in a fun and interesting way. Highly recommend this trip to learn more about Quito and why it IS the middle of the world.
We enjoyed ourselves even more than expected in Quito, thanks to this tour company and our guide, Irene. She was both entertaining and informative, which helped us take our minds off the planning so we could just enjoy the city. The first tour we went on was a 6-hour tour of the old town, where we saw some magnificent cathedrals, stopped for a chocolate tasting, and for lunch, took a private rooftop cooking class overlooking the city. It was so much fun that we immediately booked a second 6-hour tour with Irene to visit the equator and one of Ecuador's best rose plantations. We got to stand on the "original" equator as well as the geographically official one. Along the way, we stopped at a cute cafe for lunch to taste the country's famous potato cream soup. It was a breeze coordinating with the company, and they were accommodating and flexible to customize our experiences. Additionally, we had the same driver, Ivan, on both trips, who was such a pro. Our whole family had a great time! Highly recommend to all visitors!
Very nice experience! 100% recommended, place very bakans!! 😁
Very friendly and reliable. Loved it and the explanation was excellent
Excellent, very illustrative, the Irene guide notes 100🇨🇷
Diana once again took great care of me and made sure I got the most of my bespoke experience. I can't recommend her highly enough.
This was a great way to visit the Mitad del Mundo Museum and Park. The receptionist at my accommodation recommended it as an option instead of a private tour, and it's definitely good value for money. Appreciate the (bus) guide for helping with photographs and making sure we found (museum) guides who could accommodate our language choices.
I found it to be quite boring, in mitad del mundo there's just the famous statue and you are being picked up by a bus then droped off in the musuem with a local guide and then youre off alone to explore the mitad del mundo, it was pretty boring for my taste
Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry the visit didn’t meet your expectations. The Ciudad Mitad del Mundo is actually much more than just the monument — it’s a cultural city with museums, artisanal chocolate and beer experiences, restaurants, and craft shops that showcase Ecuador’s heritage. Most visitors find there’s so much to see and do that time often isn’t enough to explore it all. We hope future travelers take the time to enjoy everything this unique place offers at the center of the Earth.
Such a fun tour! The pickup is very easy in Quito and is right opposite a metro stop! Upon getting my ticket I was greeted by my guide called Joe. He was an amazing guide and conversationalist, full of energy and enthusiasm for the tour and Ecuador! It was very enjoyable to learn about the landscape as we travelled to the Middle of the World! The driver Alveiro was a great driver, navigating the busy hillside roads! Very comfortable ride. The tour activities were also very fun. They offered a many variations of insight from scientific and cultural with some fun challenges/games along the way! Would recommend when visiting Quito!
From picking us up at the airport, to the hotel round trip. This has been one of the best tours of my life. Irene made this adventure even more spectacular. Very organized, lively and with a lot of knowledge; since she has an answer to every question. Being a native speaker in Spanish, her english skills were a great plus. The tour was complete, once we booked and paid for this tour, we didn't have to worry about paying anything else. Irene took care of everything, they really felt like a carefree vacation. Thank you Irene. I had an incredible experience!!
