Este es un recorrido divertido y relajante por el mercado de Otavalo. Harás paradas en lugares fantásticos para los amantes de la comida, verás un hermoso lago, visitarás el reloj de sol de Quitsato, tomarás una gran taza de café ecuatoriano, saborearás unos sabrosos bizcochos y queso en tiras, comerás la mejor rebanada de pastel de Ecuador, disfrutarás de un almuerzo en un restaurante gourmet. parada de sándwiches y hamburguesas en Cotacachi (ciudad del cuero) y compre hasta el cansancio en el famoso mercado indígena de Otavalo. Se trata de divertirse, comer buena comida y disfrutar de la vida como local en Ecuador.

Itinerario
Una de nuestras primeras paradas en el tour es la hermosa ciudad de Cayambe. Conducirá por el centro de la ciudad y las plazas únicas mientras se dirige a la mejor fábrica de Bizcocho (galletas) y Quesos de cadena en Ecuador. Los bizcochos se hacen frescos y desde cero todos los días. Puedes ver cómo se hacen y se colocan en los hornos tradicionales. Estos bizcochos son muy sabrosos y combinados con el queso en tiras hacen un delicioso refrigerio matutino. También puede saborear el dulce de leche y tomar una taza de café o chocolate caliente. Esta parada es la cura perfecta para la lentitud matutina.
Una vez que lleguemos a Otavalo nos dirigiremos a la reconocida Plaza de Los Ponchos. El pueblo indígena de Otavalo es famoso por tejer textiles, generalmente de lana, que se venden en el famoso mercado. Los sábados el mercado se expande por toda la ciudad, pero cualquier otro día encontrarás vendedores y puestos en el Mercado de Los Ponchos. Las tiendas venden textiles como mantas hechas a mano, manteles, artesanías, pinturas y mucho más. Me encanta el mercado de Otavalo, siempre puedes encontrar algo interesante o peculiar para llevarte a casa como recuerdo o para decorar tu hogar. Siempre es divertido regatear con los vendedores y escuchar sus historias.
Nos detendremos en el Lago (Lago) San Pablo para un tiempo de reflexión en medio de los hermosos y tranquilos alrededores. Existe la posibilidad de encontrar kayaks ancestrales utilizados por los lugareños para las carreras en el lago. Tuve la oportunidad de experimentar estos kayaks ancestrales y es una experiencia extraña pero maravillosa. Si programamos esto de antemano, hay pequeñas embarcaciones que lo llevan alrededor del lago, es una experiencia genial.
Cotacachi es un hermoso pueblo andino en medio de las montañas. La ciudad es hermosa, muy bien cuidada, organizada y pintoresca. Usted se siente seguro y no abarrotado mientras camina por la calle principal de Cotacachi, donde encontrará los mejores productos de cuero en Ecuador. Cotacachi siempre ha sido famoso por sus productos de cuero como chaquetas, carteras, carteras, cinturones, zapatos, etc. Hoy en día, los nuevos diseñadores de moda locales han creado productos de cuero hermosos y únicos que puedes comprar. Muchos de mis clientes anteriores han estado buscando la chaqueta de cuero perfecta y la han encontrado en Cotacachi. Andres did an amazing job showing our friend group parts of Quito on our way to Otavalo. He shared so much information about the area and the history of the highlands. We enjoyed the local Biscottis and coffee. The Museo Solar was something that should not be missed. The highlands tour is a must. Andres was a fantastic host and guide for our trip to this beautiful area.

We had a very good trip at the two markets and solar museum and the bisnocho place. Diego is a great guide, friendly and knowledgeable. I spent more time than scheduled in the Otavalo market which pushed the return time more than an hour late and there was traffic coming back. Diego waited patiently. While in the solar museum Diego showed us around the Agavae garden and gave us detailed explanation on each variety. It was a great experience. Learned a lot at solar museum. Bisnocho was delicious. Lunch was very tasty, bought what I like in the markets. Highly recommend this trip and highly recommend Diego.

Andreas was a great guide, chatty and full of knowledge. We had a full day out from 9am to 6pm. We visited the equator museum, biscuit and cheese making shop, Otavalo, Cayembe and Cotacachi. We learnt a lot about the local culture and Ecuador. Would definitely recommend this trip

Excellent tour of markets and a few bonus points. Galapagos Connoisseur LLC did a wonderful job. We were picked up on time at our Hotel. Our guide, Gean Pierre was most attentive to what we wanted to do on the day tour. We got everything accomplished and never felt rushed.
