En el Centro de Interpretación Textil, te sumergirás en el fascinante mundo de la artesanía tradicional, aprendiendo sobre las antiguas técnicas de hilado, tejido y teñido de fibras naturales, como la lujosa lana de alpaca. Artesanos locales calificados demostrarán el intrincado proceso de producción textil, utilizando tintes naturales basados en plantas transmitidos de generación en generación. Tendrá la oportunidad de apreciar su experiencia de cerca y, si lo desea, adquirir productos textiles únicos que muestren el rico patrimonio cultural de la región.
Un impresionante sitio agrícola inca donde se utilizaron terrazas circulares para experimentar con los microclimas y mejorar la producción de cultivos. El guía explicará cómo los incas cultivaron diversas especies en estas terrazas, optimizando su producción agrícola creando condiciones controladas que favorecían el crecimiento de los cultivos.
Durante su visita a las Minas de Sal de Maras, explorará una impresionante red de más de 4.000 estanques de sal que se han utilizado desde la época preincaica. Aprenderás sobre el proceso de extracción artesanal de sal y cómo identificar las tres diferentes calidades de sal producidas en la zona. Además, descubrirá las propiedades curativas de la sal rosa y disfrutará de vistas panorámicas de las terrazas de sal, un paisaje único y fotogénico que no querrá perderse.

What an amazing day in Sacred Valley! We had a private tour for 4 people and it was one of the best days in Peru. We went to Chinchero and learned about textiles and the dyes that they use. We saw guinea pigs and alpacas. We then went to the salt mines, Moray and ended our day sampling local chocolates. Everything went very smoothly including private pick up and drop off at our hotel. Our tour guide Mihai was so helpful and knowledgeable and made the experience educational, memorable and fun! Our teenage boys said this was their favourite day in Peru. Would highly recommend for all - adults, families with children, teenagers. If you are in Sacred Valley I would strongly recommend this tour!
What a beautiful experience seeing Chincero, Maras salt mines and Moray. Mihai is a very knowledgeable, well spoken and patient guide. He did not rush us. Answered my many questions and helped us by taking amazing pictures. He arrived on time in a beautiful clean car. We will definitely be requesting Mihai’s guidance when we are in Peru again. Highly recommend using Mihai as your guide.
Our experience with Highlanding Travel was wonderful. Everything was planned very well from pickup to drop off. Mihai (our guide) is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He took us through the Sacred valley region that included - Chincero, Maras salt mines and Moray. He was patient, funny, explained things in detail and helped us understand the Andean culture. This tour exceeded my expectations. Mihai was our tour guide and he was very professional, attentive and knowledgeable. We had extensive conversations and he was the best at taking our photos along our journey! Since our tour was private, I enjoyed how we got to add some flexibility on how long we got to stay at each site. The driver was always ready to meet us when we were done and the car was very accommodating. We felt extremely safe throughout the journey with this company. Overall, I would recommend this tour and others given by this company. This was one of our family’s most memorable experiences while in Peru!

Wonderful guide Mihai, and driver Juan! They took great care of us as we visited Chinchero, Moray, and the Salt Mine of Maras. Mihai was well-informed, very helpful with providing answers to just about any question, and was both very kind and friendly. Juan navigated the windy narrow dirt roads expertly and kept us comfortable in a clean well-kept car with AC.

This tour was honestly one of the best tours I’ve been on. The guide Mihai was very educated about all the history and science behind the attractions, and he explained it patiently and with deep passion. The driver Juan was also professional and a safe driver. Overall, I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in learning about the salt mine of Maras, moray, and Chinchero.

This was our first tour in Peru! I loved that the tour started in Scared Valley, lower altitude from Cusco. Our guide Mihai, spoke very good English and was super knowledgeable about everything Peru and Inca. From the textile tour to salt mine, we enjoyed every stop on the tour!
