Este tour ofrece una manera memorable de experimentar la vida silvestre de Islandia, a pocos minutos del centro de Reikiavik. Dependiendo de las mareas y las condiciones en las islas, nuestros capitanes lo llevarán a Engey, Akurey o Lundey, que son bien conocidos por su abundante avifauna. Además de los frailecillos tienes la oportunidad de ver otras aves como patos eider, charranes árticos, guillemotas y cormoranes. También puede ver focas, lo que aumenta la emoción del recorrido. Nuestro equipo compartirá datos interesantes sobre frailecillos con el telón de fondo panorámico de las costas rocosas, y si hace buen tiempo, ¡podríamos apagar los motores para que pueda disfrutar de los sonidos naturales! Si no aparecen frailecillos en el tour, ¡te ofreceremos intentarlo de nuevo otro día, de forma gratuita!

¡Nos vemos en el Puerto Antiguo de Reykjavík y súbase a uno de nuestros barcos más pequeños que lo llevarán a ver los encantadores frailecillos!
Nos detenemos en una de las tres islas de frailecillos (Engey, Akurey o Lundey) a las afueras de Reikiavik para observar los miles de frailecillos que viajan a Islandia cada verano para reproducirse. Como las islas son reservas naturales, no podemos poner un pie en tierra, sino que intentamos navegar lo más cerca posible. Pide prestados unos prismáticos o trae los tuyos propios. Recomendamos una cámara con buen zoom para obtener fotografías de buena calidad.
A lo largo del crucero tendrás la oportunidad de ver Reykjavík desde un ángulo único, entre ellos la hermosa sala de conciertos Harpa, la imponente iglesia Hallgrímskirkja y quizás la escultura Sun Voyager.

We loved this tour. The ride to the nesting sites was lovely but short. The slow cruise along the nesting island allowed us to see puffins perching before their hollows, sitting in the water, taking off (they look like WWI fighter planes), flying overhead. We learned a new word: puffling, the correct term for baby puffin. The biologist who narrated the trip was fantastic. She knew so much, and she was so clearly tickled by everything she saw, perhaps even more than we were. The boat was full. We boarded about 15 minutes before the scheduled start. While our seats were just fine (all seats are fine), we shouid have arrived 5 to 10 minutes earlier. The tour was just great!
Lovely trip with a very experienced and interesting guide. It was an hour long (fine for me). Ship not too full but I wonder if this was because of the time of year? They have binoculars onboard which is a bonus and the guide pointed out specific places to spot puffins. It was also nice that she pointed out other birds and how to spot their chicks too. I came to Iceland to spot puffins and I did!
We saw so many puffins! We enjoyed it. Especially appreciated having access to the photos the crew took of the puffins.
Very informative tour and very friendly people
Nice way to spend an hour. Lots of puffins and other birds. Boat was a bit crowded but otherwise all good. Weather was overcast and seas were choppy but that didn’t interfere with a nice trip
We saw lots of puffins flying around & nesting on the island. Their little wings are like propellers!
The boat ride to see the puffins was very enjoyable. We checked in early at the office after taking a cab from the ship. It's quite a long walk from the ship so take a cab or the ship's shuttle. Our excursion was for 2 pm so we had plenty of time to check out the area. A nice plus was we were emailed photos of the puffins that were taken by staff on board our trip.
Take a long lens. You don’t get that close. Be aware about boat mo enemy and sea sickness. The guide is very informative
Disappointing experience. Boat doesn't go anywhere close to the puffins. Binoculars should have been handed out. Instead, after we left shore we were told we can get up and go downstairs to get them ourselves. Found crew to be unfriendly & unhelpful. Sorry we booked this.
We saw tons of puffins. The guide was wonderful. They provided binoculars. It was a quick tour-looking forward to seeing the photos they’ve promised to email.
