Recogida en hotel o alojamiento en Santa Marta. Conozca a su guía turístico y conductor local certificado, luego inicie el traslado privado al Parque Nacional Tayrona a lo largo de la carretera que bordea las estribaciones de la Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. En el camino, su guía le explicará sobre la región, presentará brevemente el plan para el día y responderá a sus primeras preguntas.
En la entrada principal de El Zaino, su guía certificado se encargará personalmente de todas las entradas, seguros y registro de visitantes, sin necesidad de esperar en la fila. Durante este tiempo, usted será libre de usar el baño, comprar bocadillos o agua, o recoger cualquier artículo de última hora. Una vez todo listo, se reencontrará con su guía y continuará en vehículo particular hacia el parque, dirigiéndose hacia el punto de inicio de la caminata : Cañaveral
Comience su caminata ecológica por el Parque Nacional Tayrona con una suave sección de sendero de 4,5 km desde Cañaveral. Esta parte de la caminata cuenta con senderos sombreados en la selva, pasarelas de madera y pendientes suaves. En el camino, disfrutarás de una exuberante vegetación tropical, brisas oceánicas y la posibilidad de avistar monos, lagartos o aves antes de continuar hacia Playa La Piscina, una zona de playa tranquila y pintoresca más profunda dentro del parque.
Después de pasar por la playa de Arenilla, llegamos a Playa La Piscina, una bahía tranquila y protegida naturalmente ideal para nadar y relajarse. Esta parada es también un punto de decisión : puede disfrutar de un rápido chapuzón, tomar fotos, o descansar a la sombra antes de continuar el tramo final hacia Cabo San Juan. El sendero desde aquí hasta el cabo es de aproximadamente 1.5 km (0.9 mi), generalmente tomando alrededor de 30 minutos (en cada sentido) a un ritmo constante. Depende de ti si te quedas aquí más tiempo o continúas para completar la caminata completa.
Ha llegado a Cabo San Juan, la playa más emblemática del Parque Nacional Tayrona. El corto sendero desde La Piscina implica un camino arenoso y rocoso que conduce a un mirador panorámico con vistas a las aguas turquesas, arena dorada, rocas de granito y una exuberante selva, todo en una escena impresionante. Depende de ti si te das un baño refrescante, te relajas bajo las palmas o simplemente disfrutas de la vista y tomas fotos antes de regresar. Un pequeño quiosco está disponible donde se puede comprar bebidas o acceder a los baños (a su propio costo). Después de disfrutar de este lugar, comenzamos la caminata de regreso hacia La Piscina
Después de visitar Cabo San Juan, regresamos a Playa La Piscina, siguiendo el mismo sendero panorámico de regreso. Esta tranquila bahía protegida es un lugar perfecto para relajarse, nadar o simplemente disfrutar de la vista. Depende de ti si te das un baño refrescante o aprovechas este tiempo para un almuerzo opcional a tu propio costo. Algunos viajeros eligen relajarse aquí, mientras que otros prefieren mantener un ritmo constante. Después de este descanso, continuamos por el sendero hacia Cañaveral para completar la caminata de regreso.
Comenzamos la caminata de regreso desde Playa La Piscina de regreso hacia el sector Cañaveral, siguiendo el mismo sendero ecológico a la inversa. Este tramo de 4,5 km suele tardar menos que la caminata de ida, ya que hay menos pausas informativas. Aún así, podemos detenernos brevemente si vemos monos, aves u otra vida silvestre en el camino. Una vez que lleguemos al área de estacionamiento, su vehículo privado estará esperando, junto con agua embotellada para refrescarse antes del viaje de regreso a Santa Marta.
Después de completar la caminata, abordamos el vehículo privado esperando en la zona de estacionamiento Cañaveral el viaje de regreso a Santa Marta. Este es un gran momento para descansar, disfrutar del aire acondicionado, o simplemente relajarse después de un día completo de naturaleza y aventura. Muchos viajeros aprovechan la oportunidad para tomar una siesta o reflexionar sobre la experiencia durante el viaje panorámico de regreso a la ciudad. La entrega está incluida en su hotel o en el mismo lugar donde comenzó el tour.

Overall was a nice experience. Weather was perfect. Easy hike from the parking lot in the national park to the Cabo San Juan. Pick up was timely and flexible. I opted for an earlier 620am pickup. But can be whatever you decide with Cesar. Maybe I was lucky, got in on a Friday and it was very quiet and peaceful only seeing a handful while getting to the end point. The beaches and view were excellent and not that many people. Cesar was informative about the different insects/animals/birds and kept an eye open for monkeys. We saw bats, crabs, ants, rocks. Overall easy hike. Very convenient as the driver was waiting readily when we got back and didn't have to wait. When we arrived back at the parking lot it seemed like several people were waiting for the shuttle to get back to the gate..but in my case, the driver was there already which was nice. Overall was fun and got in safely in the park and to the destination and back to the hotel.... worth the $268 USD/pp? Maybe $200 would be better priced. I was solo so I did pay another premium, almost double. (Understood, TA or viator does charge a fee to these operators so thr markup has to be significant) Price paid is slightly pricey... Understood, the whole activity can be for 8-10hrs. Which on a per hour basis, makes sense... but one suggestion is perhaps to include the lunch and a drink as part of the cost (as this is only about 40k-50k COP ~ $12-15USD) But all was good. Can it be done on your own? Certainly,.. The cost of convenience does play into it... Cesar was great 10/10 though

Our family had a great time with Cesar last week on our tour of Tayrona Park. He met us on time at our hotel and drove us to the park and handled all of the entrance fees, etc. On the hike, he did a nice job of pointing out the local flora and fauna, and we enjoyed seeing everything from small bats to caiman to howler monkeys. He hiked at a pace tailored to our group, which allowed for us to spend some great time at two of the beautiful beaches in the park. After a relaxing afternoon at the beach, we were able to walk back a bit later than others and enjoy the amazing peace and natural beauty of the forest. It was a memorable day, and Cesar was a fantastic guide!

Where do I begin? We booked this experience less than 48 hours prior because we had a free day in Santa Marta and wanted to explore nature. I do not have enough space to convey our absolute gratitude for César and the unforgettable day he provided. We loved the day so much that we keep saying we would take 100 more tours with him. It is officially the greatest tour experience I've ever had, and we felt like we'd made a friend at the end of it. We can't stop talking about it. To start, César contacted us quickly to arrange a pickup in Santa Marta. He then provided an informational sheet to prepare us for our hike. It was so informative that we had zero questions or concerns beforehand. He arrived at our hotel lobby 10 minutes early to pick us up with a private chauffeur. Our driver, Rafa, was exceptional. He drove so well that we were completely at ease on our first morning in a new place. I have never been so comfortable with another driver behind the wheel in my life. On our way to Tayrona Park, César gave us information about Colombia, the geography, and the history of the land. He made the drive more fun and made us excited for the arrival. At the park, he handled the tickets and insurance while we got water and snacks. We had zero responsibility or concern. In the park, he knew every person we passed. He gave us insider tips, showed us countless animals and experiences we never would have seen/found ourselves, and educated us on the flora and fauna. He had a pen light to help us spot things - which I deeply appreciated. He notified us of every slippery spot on the path and every branch overhead, ensuring our safety 100% of the way. We trusted him so much on the walk that we were literally following his footsteps. We also talked the whole day, as conversation with him was easy and fun. The hike itself stunned us. The views were spectacular, the water was incredible, and our lucky animal sightings took our breath away. We entered with low expectations and left feeling like we'd walked out of a dream. He even had a surprise for us that went above and beyond all expectation. César truly planned every detail of this day with such expert precision and thought that we could simply be along for the ride. We weren't troubled by anything, never felt unsafe, and were sad when it was over. We couldn't possibly express our gratitude and contentment enough. I would recommend this to every person visiting Santa Marta or Colombia and only wish that I could bring César with me on other trips. We truly loved our time with him.

Cesar is the best! He was a very careful and knowledgable guide. He handled tickets ahead of time so we didn't have to wait in line, and he knows every tricky spot on the trails. He also helped arrange a half-day tour for us to a different part of the Park (shout out to David who was also wonderful!). Highly recommend supporting Cesar's small business.
