The drive from Christchurch was comfortable, and our guide kept us entertained with stories about New Zealand’s history, culture, and wildlife. The landscapes were out of this world — truly the stuff of postcards. Castle Hills was my favorite stop; climbing around the rocks was so much fun. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable, but I wish there had been a bit more time allocated at each stop. The day felt slightly rushed toward the end.
