Loved this experience so much! Huge shoutout to Jose for being so wonderful as a guide. The food was excellent too and having seen many of the other camps along the way I can say confidently that Trexperience has the absolute best location for the salkantay pass camp!! We added the Huayna Picchu hike which I definitely recommend too. Difficult but beautiful view from the top!
Usually I don't write reviews but what a trip this was and what a nice group and team which made my time unforgettable! Thank you TreXperience for this amazing trip and this amazing staff, they make sure your hike will be smoothly and taken care of. The whole team was truly amazing, the porter Luis was so caring, Portfidio and Vasilio made sure the food(restaurant quality) was fantastic and our guide Sebastian was knowledgeable, fun and made sure that from beginning to end we enjoyed our trip. Even with a small group of 4 people the staff made sure everything was taken care off and still did their best to make sure the atmosphere was truly amazing to have a small family for the period. I booked the 4 day 3nights Salkantay trip with an extra free day to get a Machu Picchu ticket and I would highly recommend it if you want a nice hike, a rest day and end with Machu Picchu as an highlight of the trip. This trip is best for people who want to hike, learn something, have everything sorted and make sure they have the best tour team of peru! Thank you and hopefully till another trek when I come back!
We had a wondeful trip with Fernando and Eric from June 28th to July 1st. We were with our 4 teenagers. The whole family enjoyed it. The guides energy and knowledge ut us in confidence. The food was just amazing. The organization was perfect.
The 4 Day Salkantay trek with Royer as our guide was one of the best experiences of my life. The sights were absolutely stunning and the logistics of the trek was phenomenal. Our guide Royer made the experience the most fun, informative, and worthwhile. He taught us so much about local Peruvian & Quechua culture, he kept us thoroughly informed on each days itinerary/preparations, and also helped us source some missing equipment as well. He was super attentive to making sure everyone was feeling well at all points of our trek and was able to accommodate and adjust to the exact needs of our group. I think Royer was a major contributing factor of why our entire group got along so well and had so much fun. Our group had 6 people and I think that was the perfect size. The 4 day trek felt like the optimal length to me. The trek logistics was very impressive and very comfortable. Chef Beltran and the food service was phenomenal. We were served full local feasts for every meal and no detail was spared. Marshmallows & pop corn by the camp fire, tea in the mornings, delicious huge meals in the mountains. The entire culinary experience high exceeded expectations. This trip was like nothing I had experienced and was the most phenomenal time.
Dear T7534BVamyh, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. We are thrilled to know that your 4-Day Salkantay Trek was such a phenomenal experience. It is fantastic to hear how Royer, Chef Beltran, and the entire team made your trek informative, enjoyable, and comfortable, from the guidance and cultural insights to the amazing meals and attention to every detail. We are glad the group dynamics and the trek logistics contributed to making your journey so memorable. TreXperience Yosselyn
This is a fantastic trekking company. Everything from start to finish was so well organised and I would have no hesitation in recommending them for anyone looking to experience the Salkantay trek. The guides, Alex and Luis-Miguel, are amazing and I can't thank then enough for their help in getting me through when I was unwell during the trip. They really thought of everything in making sure our group had a brilliant experience.

This was a great experience. Alex and Luis, our tour guides, were amazing. They helped everyone maximize their experience on the trip, no matter skill level or level of altitude sickness. They accommodated everyone the best they could and made sure everyone got to camp each night. The group size (10) was just right, small enough to get to know everyone but big enough to make new friends. The chefs and porters were great, they deserve so much credit for all that they did to make our trip enjoyable. The food was great and they really took pride in what they did.

I chose Trexperience 4 day-inca for the daily showers amenity afters having a difficult time deciding between the local operators as there is very little info distinguishing them. Now what i would recommend for future Inca trail hikers is to look at review for the guides. Our guide Roger was always pacing us so we wouldn't get tired, took photos with his own phone for us so we could be more immersed in the experience, and really felt like a family member holding my sons hand for entire hikes to keep him safe. Also he had some wonderful Pervuian stories told to us during dinner. My son still wears the bracelet Roger made out of grass. As we went on the private tour we were also afforded two extra tour guides Rosa and Roberto. Both helped us pace and had friendly chit chat and were there to help when we didn't need to hold our hiking sticks. Before camp each day Roger would walkie talkie to Alejandro our chef before getting to camp. We loved his soups and want the recipe, but haven't gotten it yet unfortunately. Tried many loma saltados during our stay, his was my favorite because of how simple and home-style it tasted. One note to potential Inca Trail hikers out there is to make sure you have tip(much deserved) prepared. It was bit of work and caused some anxiety to figure out how much to tip last minute. Ask the tour agency how many people will be supporting so you are ready with the recommended amount for each. There was a family staying at the same hotel also going on a tour with Alpaca and they were frantic at the atm as well.
Dear H7521MKdavidh, Thank you very much for sharing such a thoughtful review. We are truly happy to know that your experience on the Inca Trail with Roger, Rosa, Roberto, and Chef Alejandro was so meaningful for you and your family. It is wonderful to hear how Roger supported your son, shared stories, and helped make the journey feel safe, personal, and memorable throughout the trek. We also appreciate your kind words about our chef and the meals, as well as your useful feedback regarding tips. Your comments are very valuable and help us improve the experience and guidance we provide to future travelers. Thank you again for your recommendation and trust in TreXperience. We hope to welcome you again in Peru. Warm regards, TreXperience Yosselyn
It was a great experience for me . I had an adventure. I visited places I would never otherwise visit. When I struggled the guide (Royer Benavides) very accomadating and resourceful. He figured out a way to push on. The tour is very well thought of with a lot of details taken care of. The weather was very nice. No rain. Just crisp clear skies cold night nice days The Chef (Beltran) was great. The food was a very good sample of Peruvian cuisine. Only thing I would caution is that don’t underestimate the trek. Be prepared for rough terrain.

Where to even begin? My wife and I decided to celebrate our honeymoon in an alternative way, let's put it that way. We booked the Salkantay Trekking with TreXperience, and it was hands down one of the most beautiful experiences we’ve ever had. Everything was perfectly organized down to the smallest detail—like getting a hot water bottle on our first night at the campsite (when the outside temperature was around -2 to -5°C). The same goes for all the breakfasts, lunches, and dinners prepared by our Chef, Celso, along with Santiago, Bernardo, and the rest of the staff. They even surprised us with a cake when they found out it was our honeymoon, which was completely unexpected and truly beautiful. Let’s talk about the guides: Abelardo, our "captain." An incredibly skilled and knowledgeable person, as well as friendly and humble. It’s impossible not to chat and become friends with him. Alejandro, equally talented and knowledgeable. I have to say he is a wonderful person, our true third travel companion, always by our side helping each other out, talking about everything, and teaching us so much about the Quechua language and culture. Sergio, the kind of person who manages to give you all the confidence and peace of mind you need. Talking to him felt like talking to a deeply loved uncle. He was always right behind us, teaching and explaining so many things—truly a wonderful soul. To wrap it up, the trek itself was gorgeous. We saw landscapes and panoramas we had only ever seen in documentaries, with breathtaking mountains. The altitude made itself felt during the first two days, but it was never a dealbreaker. I would do it again in a heartbeat, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an adventure and wanting to connect with beautiful people and cultures. A big hug to our guides and to everyone who shared this journey with us. From the Italian newlyweds, Davide & Loredana
Dear Davide & Loredana, Thank you very much for sharing such a detailed and heartfelt review. We are truly delighted to know that your honeymoon on the Salkantay Trek became such a magical and unforgettable experience. It is wonderful to hear that every detail of the journey, from the cold nights in the mountains to the warm welcome at each campsite, was well organized and made you feel comfortable and cared for throughout the adventure. We are especially happy to know that small touches like the hot water bottles on cold nights, the carefully prepared meals by Chef Celso and the team (Santiago, Bernardo, and others), and the surprise honeymoon cake added something special to your celebration. Moments like these are exactly what we aim to create for our travelers. It is also very meaningful to hear your kind words about our guides, Abelardo, Alejandro, and Sergio. Their passion for sharing Andean culture, Quechua language, history, and personal care for each guest is something we deeply value, and we are glad they made you feel supported, safe, and connected throughout the trek. Your description of the landscapes, the mountains, and the overall experience reflects the beauty of this route, and we are very honored that you chose to celebrate such an important moment of your life with us. Thank you once again for your trust, your recommendation, and for taking the time to share your experience in such detail. We would be absolutely delighted to welcome you back to Peru in the future for another adventure. Warm regards, TreXperience Yosselyn
