The Yokohama Marine Tower, standing beside Yamashita Park, is one of the city’s most iconic landmarks and a perfect place to appreciate Yokohama’s historic port scenery. From its observation deck, visitors can enjoy sweeping views over Yokohama Port, the Minato Mirai skyline, and the Bay Bridge, with the classic ocean liner Hikawa Maru resting nearby. On clear days, the contrast between the sea, the city, and the distant mountains creates a beautifully layered landscape unique to Yokohama. As night falls, the harbor lights, ships, and illuminated waterfront come together to create a calm yet romantic atmosphere, making Yokohama Marine Tower a must-visit spot for experiencing the city’s maritime charm.
Located along Yokohama’s waterfront, Yamashita Park offers a picturesque setting with beautifully landscaped gardens, open lawns, and stunning views of the harbor. As the night falls, the park becomes a peaceful retreat with the gentle glow of city lights reflecting off the water. The park is home to historical monuments and sculptures, and it’s the perfect spot to enjoy the cool evening breeze while taking in the night-time beauty of Yokohama’s skyline.
Yokohama Chinatown, one of the largest Chinatowns in the world, is a vibrant and colorful area filled with unique shops, restaurants, and cultural landmarks. At night, the streets come alive with glowing red lanterns and the stunning light displays of the Chinese temples. The Guan Ti Miao Shrine, the starting point of this tour, is a beautifully illuminated structure that sets the stage for your exploration. This was a nice walk around the harbor area at night and we learned a lot about Japanese history from him. There is a lot of walking on this tour, and it is NOT a harbor boat cruise tour.
It was absolutely terrible! Thankfully our guide was super sweet but it was pouring rain with thunder and lightning. Thus tour consisted of walking for two hours which was impossible. Our guide requested a refund for us but it was denied. Absolutely insane. We did 10 minutes of the tour were soaked and went back home. I have used aviator several times but this is the last.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that the weather conditions affected your experience. While we understand that the rain affects the experience, it takes place rain or shine unless conditions are deemed unsafe. The guide offered to purchase umbrellas to help make the experience more comfortable, but this was declined. We appreciate your understanding and thank you again for your feedback.
