Itinerary

20 min

Travelers will witness the haunting yet powerful remains of the Atomic Bomb Dome, a UNESCO World Heritage Site that stands as a symbol of resilience and peace. You will learn about the tragic events of August 6, 1945, and how Hiroshima transformed from devastation to a beacon of hope and global peace advocacy.

10 min

The Peace Bell symbolizes harmony and a world without nuclear weapons. Its deep, echoing sound serves as a reminder of global unity, encouraging reflection on peace and the hope for a better future.

10 min

This monument honors the Korean victims of the atomic bombing, recognizing their suffering and contributions to Hiroshima’s history. It serves as a symbol of remembrance, reconciliation, and the pursuit of lasting peace.

10 min

Dedicated to the memory of children who lost their lives due to the atomic bombing, this monument was inspired by Sadako Sasaki, a young girl who folded paper cranes in hope of survival. Surrounding the statue, thousands of colorful cranes sent from around the world symbolize a collective wish for peace.

10 min

Burning continuously since 1964, the Peace Flame represents the commitment to a world without nuclear weapons. It will remain lit until all nuclear arms are abolished, serving as a powerful symbol of hope and a reminder of Hiroshima’s message of peace.

20 min

A place of quiet reflection, the Peace Memorial Hall honors the victims of the atomic bombing through personal stories, photographs, and survivor testimonies. Its design encourages visitors to contemplate the impact of war and the importance of peace.

10 min

An arched monument inscribed with the words "Let all the souls here rest in peace, for we shall not repeat the evil." It holds the names of all known victims of the atomic bombing and aligns perfectly with the Peace Flame and Atomic Bomb Dome, symbolizing remembrance and a commitment to peace.

A series of ten glass gates inscribed with the word "peace" in multiple languages, symbolizing Hiroshima’s universal message of harmony. These gates stand as a reminder of the collective hope for a peaceful world, inviting reflection as visitors pass through

Good value and perfect length

Very informative and interesting. Covered all monuments and land marks. Would never have known or understood the significance of each one. Perfect length. We visited the museum after at leisure.

Historical Events of Hiroshima

We had limited time in Hiroshima and booked a two hour tour. Ghani was our tour guide - and our group of 4 unanimously gave him a 5 star rating. He was on time, pleasant and highly knowledgeable. His presentation of historical facts of the events surrounding the Hiroshima bombing left us with a deeper understanding. He was also very kind and ensured we were comfortable throughout the tour. I highly recommend Ghani.

An excellent context setter to visiting Hiroshima’s Peace Park

My whole family found the Ghani tour very worthwhile and informative. Over two hours the tour really set the context for our visit to Hiroshima. All the family were really informed arising from the tour. Would strongly recommend. (Family of five including young adults)

Interesting tour with Ghani who was very knowledgeable and able to provide great insights as to what happened on both the day the bomb was dropped and what happened afterwards. Would recommend.

Misleading trip description.

This was supposed to be a small group trip, with a maximum of 8 people. There were 18 on this trip! which resulted in each stop taking longer, so people could read descriptions. We were rushed as a result in some places. Trip was spoilt by this. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.

Operator response

Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the larger group size on that day due to an unexpected guide illness, which required combining groups. We understand this affected the pace of the tour and regret the inconvenience. We appreciate your kind words about the guide and will work to ensure better group management in the future,

Excellent tour guide

Ghani, our guide, was very knowledgeable about Hiroshima and was an excellent host! I learned a lot today that I did not already know. Additionally, I injured my knee recently and have trouble with stairs. Ghani made sure to slow down so I could keep up, and pointed out elevators, when available. He made sure I didn’t miss a moment of the tour. He also recommended a fantastic place to shop and eat dinner. I’m very glad we were able to be part of his group today.

Outstanding tour

We were blessed to have Cva as our tour guide. Clearly an impressive young man who was able to put a human face to such an inhumane event.
