For those who selected with lunch option, we will have Okonomiyaki in Miyajima Island. Hiroshima Okonomiyaki is a regional variation of the classic Japanese savory pancake. Unlike the Osaka style, where all ingredients are mixed together, Hiroshima's version layers the ingredients. A base of batter is cooked on a griddle, followed by a generous portion of shredded cabbage, pork, and noodles. The dish is then topped with okonomiyaki sauce, bonito flakes, and a drizzle of mayonnaise. It's a flavorful and satisfying dish, beloved by locals and visitors alike. We also have vegetarian Okonomiyaki which does not containds pork nor bonito flakes. Please request when you make a booking. We do not have vegan, halal, gluten free lunch so please select "Without lunch" and bring your own lunch or you can also have a free time at Miyajima while we have lunch.
This shrine was built in 593 by emperor, but most of construction was rebuilt in 1168 by Kiyomori Taira. This shrine was built on the sea. Because, ancient people believed Miyajima island was goddess. The signature of Itsukushima shrine is Otorii gate which stands itself. The high is same size of the great Buddha in Nara prefecture. The pillar's diameter is 10m. You can walk there by your foot when law tide.
At the Miyajima island, not only Itsukushima Shrine but also Daishoin is photogenic. There are many Jizo guardian statues in rainbow color costumes. Also relaxing Budda statue and many lanterns you can discovered.

Tomo is very very nice and such a good soul to be around. As a half Japanese girl, she made me feel included. Even outside being a tour guide, she’s an amazing person. Tomo-chan is very sweet. Unlike some tours I have been on, Tomo-chan seems like she does actually want to be there. The view was incredible. I was aware of the Hiroshima bombing before, but I had no idea it was that horrible; I cried for all the pain the victims went through. The pictures were very graphic, and it really hit me. I want to spread awareness of this. Not just this, but war, weapons, nuclear weapons. I am glad I came on today’s tour (7/2/2026) with Tomo-chan.

Wow! Tomo rocked it. Your English is great and you were very clear. I learned so much about Japan and Hiroshima museum because you emphasized easy to learn tricks. I enjoyed your multiple choice quiz. I only got 1 of 3 right, but I remember them now. Interesting way to learn. I also appreciated learning some Japanese. Arigoto gazaimazu. I may not know how to spell it but can say it now. The island trip was nice. Especially that you went with us. You were gracious with your time. On the bus you were patient and on the island you explained the temple exceptionally well. Overall it was an amazing experience. Btw: the dark room purified my soul. Thank you for your time, tomo. See you soon.

We had a wonderful full day experience with Tomo our guide for the day. She was engaging and easy to talk to. As she said, talk to her like she’s your friend. Beautiful sites and I liked the balance of walking together as a group and having time to ourselves. We had reserved lunch in advance w/Hiroshima style okonomiyaki and it was delicious. We were a family of 4 with a 15 yo and 19 yo. All of us had a good time.

Rino (pronounced /ri-no/) is very professional and passionate about her job. Loved the detailed information about the 1945 event she provided. It was like a short history class for me. More importantly, she is very cute, nice and calm. The best female tour guide I have had over the past 3 day tours in Japan this time. I’d highly recommend this agency, Rino and Hiroshima.
