In 1899, James Dole, just 22 years old, moved to Honolulu from Massachusetts and purchased 64 acres of land in the central plains of Oahu. After trying several experimental crops, he settled on pineapple. This was the beginning of the pineapple empire. Dole created two canneries in Wahiawa and Honolulu Harbor and started advertising, resulting in nationwide consumer popularity. After bringing in automatic pineapple peelers, business boomed even greater. In 1950, a small fruit stand was created in Dole’s fields. A plantation-style home was erected in 1989 and turned into an archive and living museum, honoring the work and life of James Dole. Iolani Palace is a living restoration of a proud Hawaiian national identity and is recognized as the spiritual and physical multicultural epicenter of Hawaii. Built in 1882 by King Kalakua, Iolani Palace was the home of Hawaii's last reigning monarchs and served as the official royal residence and the residence of the Kingdom's political and social life until the overthrow of the monarchy in 1893. Registered as a National Historic Landmark since 1962 and the only official royal residence in the United States.
This majestic King Kamehameha I statue that stands proudly out the front of Ali’iolane Hale in Downtown Honolulu, is a casting of one of Hawaii's most beloved and revered rulers Kamehameha the Great, who was the first to unify all the islands and welcome westerners to his lands. Kamehameha was a revered warrior and leader, and he united Hawaii into one royal kingdom in 1810 after years of conflict. He also encouraged foreign trade and technology while avoiding foreign rule. He is depicted in the 18-foot bronze statue as extending his hand in a welcoming gesture of aloha. King Kamehameha commissioned the construction of Ali’iolani Hale to be the royal palace of the Hawaiian Monarchy. It was built in the Italian Renaissance Revival style and its name means ‘House of the heavenly King’. Ali’iolani Hale eventually became an administrative building and now houses the Supreme Court of Hawaii as well as the Judiciary History Center. The 18-foot bronze King Kamehameha Statue.

Capt V is the absolute best. You get to see a little bit of everything on the island. There is something for everyone along this tour. We loved swimming in the waterfall, stopping at all the iconic sites, and enjoying all the amazing food! I would totally take this tour again. Capt V is the reason this tour stands out from all the others. I would HIGHLY recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see a little bit of everything Oahu had to offer. Capt V provides information regarding the history of Hawaii, takes pictures for you along the entire route, and was very attentive to everyone’s needs/wants in our group. PLEASE GO ON THIS TOUR!!
Abbi and Jack, My Newest Rock Stars. I could not be prouder of you Two Kiddos. Congrats on the Marriage and I appreciate the time the 4 of us spent on Wednesday. I will forever add you two to my Prayers. Many Years of Happiness for you both. Mahalo Nui Loa, Captain Vince
We highly recommend Captain Vince if you are looking for a tour of a lifetime! He is communicative, on schedule and informative. We came to Hawai’i not only for vacation but also to learn and connect with the culture and community. This tour was exactly that and more because of Captain Vince’s beautiful and fun spirit. My favorite place of this tour was the Waimea botanical Garden connecting to the land and the beauty of mother nature and the blessing she has to offer. In addition to eating delicious foods and treats. We had great conversation too! Instantly Captain Vince felt like family “Ohana” and after the tour he became Ohana. Thank you so much for the experience! We highly recommend taking this tour.
Alexandra, You all were Amazing and your Littke Daughter reminded me og my Grand Daughter. What a day we had. So grateful I am too meet so.many Amazing folks from all.walks of life. I will be reaching out on March 30th fornBaby Girls Birthday. ❤️ Mahalo Nui Loa and "A Hui Hou", Captain Vince
If you are looking for a full circle tour then look no further than Captain Vince. The Captain only does this tour with a small bus. And that is way better than a 52 seate. And to boot, there were only 4 of us (shout out to Steve & Marie), almost 121. All along the day, The Captain kept us entettained with information about the stop, island history & culture and himself. Even had a continuous "quiz" going 😆 to keep "the family" entertained betwren stops. Even at the "purchase" stops, The Captain knew the people and easrd us into the facilitues like friends. And the banter with his fellow tour competitors was great. Be willing yo get up early and let The Captain be ahead of the pack at the stops to minimise wait times. Totally fantastic day.
Ashley, I am.very thankful for your kind words and the fact that you notiiced the small details. Being in front of all the other groups keeps us away from big crowds. You all were Awesome with your timing. Mahalo Nui Loa My Ohana, Captain Vince
Captain Vince was great! Very knowledgeable and friendly! We had a very small group so he brought us out in his convertible and it made the experience 10x better! Would definitely recommend!
Jasmine and Lucas, I was speaking to David and bragging about you three and what a day we had. I.am so Blessed to meet the most Amazing folks from all over the World. You two are my Newest Rock Stars. Mahalo Nui Loa, Captain Vince
The tour was great! Very similar to the Grand Circle Island Tour with the addition of the Waimea Botanical Gardens and Pali Lookout. The thing that really added to things was the tour guide Captain Vince. He was upbeat, made sure to fill us in on local custom/language, and just made sure to make things fun. Driving around the island in a convertible was a blast!
David, What a Joy I it was with this Group of Three. I really appreciate our personal talk. You will forever be in my Prayers. We will meet again one day soon. Mahalo Nui Loa and "A Hui Hou", Captain Vince
My best friend and I spent the day touring with Captain Vince with 1 Epic Tour and it was hands down one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment he greeted us in the lobby, we knew we were in for something special. He was attentive, funny, knowledgeable, and made us feel like family the entire time. We loved how he included fun games that also taught us about Hawaiian culture—it made the day even more meaningful. I would book with him again in a heartbeat. If you’re visiting Oahu, don’t miss the chance to tour with Captain Vince!

We had a fantastic experience on this tour! It ended up being just my husband and I on the tour bus. Captain Vince went above and beyond by giving us a private, customized day instead of canceling. He was engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time. Captain Vince truly makes you feel like family. Every stop was enjoyable, and he even added a surprise visit to Kualoa Ranch, which made the day extra special. Highly recommend this tour! Captain Vince will truly make this an unforgettable experience!
