Amsterdam: Diamond Experience at Oldest Diamond Factory

+9 photos
Description
Royal Coster Diamonds is the world's oldest still-operating diamond polishing factory (founded 1840), steps from the Rijksmuseum. Guests see real craftsmen polishing real diamonds using techniques refined over 185 years. The experience includes a private diamond presentation, a look at the Cullinan replica (largest gem-quality rough diamond ever found), and an introduction to the Royal 201 cut, the most brilliant diamond in the world, exclusive to Royal Coster. The 4 C's are explained in person, with real stones, by guides in 15+ languages. Royal Coster polishers recut the Koh-i-Noor for the British Crown Jewels in 1852. For travelers who want real depth, this is Amsterdam's diamond experience.
