Great experience. A good overview of some of the major landmarks with good backstories from our guide.
We visited 3 temples, the victory monument and budda park. The guide Thom was a nice lady and eager to answer as many questions as were asked of her. A great way to see the sights and learn not only about the sights but day to day life such as education and healthcare
Very good tour with lots of places covered. Right amount of time in each place, i felt that i had seen Vientiane's most important sites. Nam was a very good guide, informative and knowledgeable. Would definately reccommend.
Great guide Punch. He went above and beyond helping us with getting back for transfers and other questions. Would totally recommend. Found the Buddha park very odd tho.
We got the pleasure of “Mr. Joy” on our trip and it was absolutely fantastic! The man could answer any questions about Buddhism or buildings in Laos, and at the same time he was so smiling and nice. Really great recommendation from here
A great way to see parts of Vientiane and learn some history. As with all tours, the guide makes or breaks the experience. Coming from SE Asia, I understood some 75% of what the guide shared. My spouse from USA understood only 25%. The silent responses from the others is often deafening. Our guide was super friendly yet professional. Her love for her country is evident. The ride was comfortable and the driver drove safely.
There were not enough guests for the group tour so instead they offered to change it to a private tour for 250 USD (!!!) or 120 USD if you leave a 5 star review. They did not offer free cancellation (instructing me to cancel through viator with 0 refund), only reschedule to a new date or go ahead with the booking at the same price but without a guide. The driver was great and cant be faulted, she even added in an extra stop at the end as we had time. However, without a guide there is not much (if any) information provided at the stops so while you get good photo opps, you don't really learn much. Vientiane is lacking options of good city tours and this could be done by foot/taxi, excluding Budda Park.
Well planned day to see some of the Big Sights. Not rushed. A great lunch stop. Our guide Nong was excellent with great English and well-informed answers to our questions. Made it easy to visit places that are well spread out across the city.
This was an ecotour of downtown Vientiane and a short drive to Buddy Park. Our guide KN was knowledgeable, professional, and very kind. He expertly explained the architecture, demographics, and history of the city with an emphasis on the temples and other religious sites. The driver, Bok, was also great.
The tour guide was very nice. We visited all the attractions. The group was small. Worth the money for sure.
