It was a nice way tog et to know the food culture in the city. We also went to some local sites, it’s nice to safely travel at night in this tuk tuk trip, we have been here for 3 weeks but never went out at night. So this was a great way to see the night sites.
Apart from all the great food I had on the tour and the beautiful places we visited around the city, Thony is the most amazing guide I’ve ever had. He’s so kind and warm, and I learned so much from him about the culture, history, religion, and food of Laos. Thank you, I had the best time and would 100% recommend this tour!
Amazing experience Jack really went above and beyond to ensure we had an incredible time. Took us to so many places and entertained our whims including coming to pick us up from a fair way out of town. The food and service was increadible. Highlight was still running the translation that yes one of us did want to try the stuffed frog. 10/10 experiance
One of the best experiences!! Jack, our guide, told us everything we needed to know and shared some amazing stories with us.. It was indeed a great way to discover a whole new world!!
I did this tour with my dad and really enjoyed it. Jack was our guide and he was prompt and friendly. We enjoyed his insights and our conversations with him where we got a sense of the local way of life. The grilled meats were our favourite but we tried and enjoyed everything! This is a great tour to sample the local fare (esp the local night market) vs do tourist things. Thank you Jack and our lovely tuk tuk driver for a wonderful evening!
Jack was a great tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The food was amazing and we had a great time. Unlike most food tours, Jack will give you options to choose from and explain it all to you. On a side note, there was a small fire when a transformer exploded at a local food market. He was very concerned for our safety and took great precaution in making sure we were safe. While it was not a major fire and everyone was ok he put our safety first which was important. Thanks Jack!
We had such a great experience on this food tour! Jack, our tour guide, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and he made us feel right at home from the start. The food we got to taste was absolutely incredible, and it was so cool getting to see some of the sights of Vientiane along the way. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting!
The tour guide ,Jack was very good, he explained all the different types of Laos food in the markets, he arranged samples for us. This night tour is worth doing, as it's cooler at night and being in a tuk tuk adds to the fun, well worth doing and ask for Jack to be your guide.
It was great evening with Jack, exploring Vientiane and eating very well indeed! I loved all the food introduced and only wish I could have eaten more!
Wow, what an evening! I organised this tour as a little date night activity with my husband for our last day in Vientiane and my only regret is not doing it on the first night. Our guide Jack was so lovely, and very knowledgeable about the local Vientiane food scene. He took us to both the tourist foodie hot spots but also to some smaller, more intimate local places for the most authentic experience. He walked us through all the wonderful foods and told us so much about the history, culture and customs of Vientiane. We had an incredible time - excellent food and excellent company.
