Departure from the city of La Paz (6:00 - 6:30) according to coordination.
We will pass through the city of El Alto very early to avoid the traffic and chaos of this city.
Along the way we will appreciate the Bolivian Altiplano (northern part) surrounded by mountain range and Lake Titicaca.
From the town of Palcoco (highlands) we will take a dirt route to the Royal Range.
During the journey we will see a panoramic visit of the royal mountain range of Bolivia, it is 120 kilometers to explore mountains, we can stop to take panoramic photos
During the journey and very close to our destination we will see the west face of the snowy Huayna Potosí (6088 m), the most popular mountain to do your first 6000 meters "andinismo".
We will arrive in a 4x4 vehicle, to the Juri khota lagoon (4730 meters). ️Enjoy the walk and the scenery crossing three lagoons: we will start at the lagoon JURI KHOTA(4730 meters), passing through the lagoon SLOVENIA (4900 m) until we reach the lagoon GLACIER VENTANNI (5030 m). ITINERARY: Departure time: 6:00 am Travel time: 2.5 hours Return time: 3 pm. approx. Arrival time (La Paz): 6 or 7 pm. approx. LEVEL OF DIFFICULTY: MEDIUM/HIGH, hike in height from 4700 to 5030 meters. The route is rocky in 40% of rocks (approx) for this requires comfortable shoes . DISTANCE: 8-9 km approximately (round trip). It is a unique experience that yes or yes you have to live if you travel to Bolivia. The scenery and views are amazing, plus the experience on the different trails, the logistics and energy of Abdon is amazing. Super recommended.

This was our second time going with Abdón up into the Cordillera Real, and it was a wonderful experience once again. This time he took us to the other side to see other lakes and other glaciers. All sorts of different topography. It snowed on our way back. Absolutely majestic. And had the place all to ourselves (only saw one other group that went on a different trail). And Abdón is a great guide who we now consider a friend. He clearly loves being out there and trying to keep it pristine. And the people in those areas clearly trust and think highly of him, all of which is unfortunately quite rare in Bolivia—traditional tour guides from the city tend to descend on these kinds of places and they and their tourists just take a bunch of selfies and leave behind a bunch of trash. If you're in Bolivia and want to experience the high peaks of the Andes, look no further!
Excellent tour, I went with my husband and the tour is private with the guide Abdon, he picked us up in his 4x4 car we were super comfortable, the landscape is spectacular another level we could see two lagoons and one is already in the glacial, Abdon also took many pictures and took us some very delicious snacks typical of Bolivia just to recover energy, I had nerves for the climb, but we climbed calmly and patiently abdon very friendly. As for the climb up the height was challenging 400 meters of positive slope, they are like 9 kilometers round trip but less 5 and a half hours of travel, I also liked that Abdon was very vigilant in case you feel ill at altitude they offer medication. When you arrive, they also give you snacks to recover energy. Highly recommended, besides that it is a busy place then you can enjoy the landscapes to the fullest.
This hike was unique – surrounded by 5,000 to 6,000 metre peaks (or even higher) – sunshine, great snacks, his extensive mountain experience. The view of the lagoons – even those that almost no one except him knows about – is truly indescribable. We will never forget this day. Thank you so much for this experience!
