Visit the Salt Flats of Uyuni, considered as one of the largest salt reserves in the world. Enjoy a private and personalized transfer service (limited to 4 travelers) from the city of La Paz to the International Airport of El Alto where you will take a flight to Uyuni. Enter the Uyuni Salt Flats and be amazed by the landscape of salt fields and stunning colors. Discover Incahuasi Island, admire the giant cacti and rock formations and walk through Tunupa Volcano to observe Andean landscapes, painted and shaped by nature, as well as Andean animals such as flamenco, llamas, and Vicunas. This full-day trip will be lead by a professional English speaking guide, includes lunch and transportation on a private 4x4 Land Cruiser.

Itinerary
At 7am (approximate time subject to flight itinerary) you´ll be picked up from your hotel in La Paz and transfered to the International Airport of El Alto, where you´ll take the flight to Uyuni. When taking off you can see aerial views of the city of La Paz.
After 45 minutes of flight, you'll land at the International Airport of Uyuni, where you will meet your English speaking professional guide and private driver. Enjoy a delicious American buffet in one of the most popular cafes in the area.
At 10am, explore the train cemetery, an open museum where you will be able to observe very old trains.
Continue to Colchani where you'll see the salt processors that mine salt from the region. Enter Uyuni Salt Flats and be amazed by the enchanting landscape of salt fields and stunning colors.
Visit with photo stops
Head to Incahuasi Island to discover the giant cacti and rock formations. At the end of this small walk-on Incahuasi Island, enjoy a delicious local lunch. Have time here to take photos and learn about the region from our expert guide.
At 2:30pm, head to the foot of the imposing Tunupa Volcano to observe spectacular Andean landscapes, painted and shaped by nature, as well as Andean animals such as flamenco, llamas, and Vicunas.
Next, return to the Salt Flats and enjoy a special toast with snacks and warm drinks while watching a wonderful sunset, that by the nature of the Salar is painted with surrealistic colors and landscapes. Without a doubt....a unique and unforgettable experience. Upon culminating this special experience, at approximately 7pm, return with a private vehicle to Uyuni City. Overnight HOTEL ATIPAX UYUNI.
Day 2, Pick up from Hotel and transfer to Uyuni airport
After 45 minutes land at the International Airport of El Alto, you´ll go back to your Hotel in La Paz.

Buyer Beware! We booked this well in advance, and before booking our flights to Bolivia - the only reason we went. They cancelled on us 48 hours before the tour stating one line NO FLIGHTS. They provided no options, no explanation other than they did not book flight in advance and now none were available. They the proceeded to LIE about this to Viator, stating flight was cancelled to avoid responsibility. I have the ENTIRE thing in writing to prove my honesty on the matter. I would not trust them to deliver on the contract you make with a purchase.
Well organized. The hotel reserved on the salt flats was excellent. Tour guide was amazing and drivers very professional. The salt flats was a great day trip experience.

Spectacular full day . Gets very cold when sun sets so dress accordingly. We were traveling in July and got very cold during nighttime on the tour and in hotel. In dry season the star gazing option is out of the world . The guide / driver and all aspects of tour were very well coordinated. Car and hotel were comfortable . Our guide Julia was amazing and she made this once in a lifetime trip even more memorable.

When originally booking this trip, we were skeptical that one company could seamlessly take care of all the logistics needed to see the wonders of Uyuni. We could have not been more pleasantly surprised!!! Immediately following the booking Joker Expedition contacted us to get the passport information so they could book our round trip flights from La Paz to Uyuni and hotel. We received our complete itinerary shortly thereafter. The trip itself could not have been better organized; from picking us up from our hotel in La Paz and given our boarding passes to the flight, to meeting in Uyuni by our amazing driver, Samuel and Liliana, the best tour guide of our entire vacation. While we were so excited to see the flats themselves, we were blown away by all parts of the tour (the train graveyard, learning about salt refining, the ojos de Uyuni). Liliana explained all sites with expertise and helped us take pictures and videos with professional quality. Our experience was incredible from start to finish and found the company took very good care of us and thought of EVERYTHING. We cannot recommend this enough, it was worth every penny and delivered on a once in a lifetime experience. Special thanks to Samuel and Liliana, they made our trip so special and could not have asked for two better individuals to guide us around Uyuni!!!
The Salt Flats was one of the best experiences I have had, miles and miles of white salt and pools of water. Thanks to my guide Julie and drive for the great experience.
Seemless from start to end. Joker Expeditions had it all covered, from hotel pickup in La Paz and drop off the next day. Everyone I dealt with were great. Oscar was my guide on the flats, and he was knowledgeable and super friendly. He shared lots of information about the train graveyard and the origins of the lake/Salt Flats like it was second nature. By the end of the day, I felt like I'd known him for ages. The food provided was fresh and delicious. And the views were spectacular. A sight not to be missed. In the eight or so hours I was on the trip, I took 200 photos and videos (some also by Oscar) - which is testament to the special nature of this trip! Thank you Oscar, Coco and the Joker Expedition team.
Our trip really was a dream come true. I was nervous about booking from Australia but need not have worried, all my queries were answered promptly, everyone we interacted with were sensational and everything was organised to perfection. The service was top notch and our skilled guides knew where to take us to avoid the crowds. The beautiful lunch and sunset drinks were superb and allowed time to sit and soak up the experience (there was even flowers on the table!). Diego our driver who picked us up in La Paz did such a good job getting us to the airport on time as a car accident had closed the main road, he even walked us into the airport to ensure we got to the gate in time. Our guide Oscar was incredibly knowledgable, accomodating and easy company - not to mention a great photographer who captured some treasured memories for us. Christian our driver was very experienced and we always felt very safe. The hotel was beautiful and Janette was delightful and provided exceptional service. Even upon our return to La Paz we had a very lovely driver Jhonny to take us back to our accommodation. Would highly recommend.
Unforgettable Day Trip with Joker Experience – A Five-Star Adventure! Our day trip through the salt desert with Joker Experience deserves nothing less than an A+ rating! Chris, our driver, and Lily, our guide, gave us an incredible experience, showing and explaining the wonders of the salt desert. We had plenty of time to soak in the breathtaking scenery and capture stunning photos. Lily, with her creative touch, took beautiful shots of us—natural, funny, and far from the usual touristy poses. It was such a unique and personal touch to the day. The lunch, along with the wine and snacks at sunset, was prepared with so much love and care, making the experience even more special. Everything was perfectly organized, and we couldn’t have asked for a better way to explore this magical place. Five stars for a day filled with memories that will last a lifetime!
