[Option : Antelope Canyon X] [Horseshoe Bend] All tours will be visited here. Itinerary
Navajo Upper Antelope Canyon is a slot canyon in the American Southwest, on Navajo land east of Lechee, Arizona. It includes five separate, scenic slot canyon sections on the Navajo Reservation.
The Lower Antelope Canyon, called Hazdistazí, or 'spiral rock arches' by the Navajo, is located several miles from the Upper Antelope Canyon. Prior to the installation of metal stairways, visiting the canyon required climbing pre-installed ladders in certain areas.
Upper Antelope Canyon is called Ts bighnln, 'the place where water runs through rocks' by the Navajo. It is the most frequently visited by tourists because its entrance and entire length are at ground level, requiring no climbing; and because beams of direct sunlight radiating down from openings at the top of the canyon are much more common. Beams occur most often in summer, as they require the sun to be high in the sky. Winter colors are more muted.
Horseshoe Bend is a horseshoe-shaped incised meander of the Colorado River, located in the town of Page, Arizona, United States. The hike is about .6 miles one-way to the overlook. The overlook is about a 1,000 meter drop, looking down onto the Colorado River.
This scenic view provides spectacular vistas of the Colorado River as it flows through Glen Canyon and of Glen Canyon Dam itself. From the parking area, follow the metal handrail down the uneven rock steps.

Our guide, Brian was awesome If you need to save money, you can drive there yourself and it is much cheaper and wait the same amount of time. It was nice to get picked up and driven there.
Guide was great. Very informative, kind and a pleasure.
Even though we went on an overcast day, the pictures (colors) turned out great with the help of our excellent guide Charlie. He took the time to help everyone with their phone camera settings to produce the beautiful reds and oranges. His guidance also included facts about flash floods and how the canyon changed with the mother nature like floods. We got to the store and only had to wait a short time to get on transport to the canyon. Grips are small approx 12 max and kept spaced so that we were not rushed. We recommend this trip to all that enjoy seeing the art of nature.
Booked this tour because of the misleading title of upper and lower antelope canyon. Was only allowed to pick between the two options. It was way overpriced. We paid over $700 for 3 people. I wish I had gotten a refund. I wish I had done my research could’ve saved a couple hundred just showing up and booking on site. The canyons are beautiful though.
Thank you for your honest feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that our tour description caused confusion and that the experience did not meet your expectations regarding pricing and options. Our price details are disclosed on the page. This includes: Navajo Nation Permit Fee, Navajo Sales Tax and Booking Brokerage Fee. Window prices also need to pay these two fees. We just have an extra Brokerage Fee, but it lets you plan your trip and time better in advance. As is known to all, Antelope Canyon is a very popular attraction. Its tickets are often sold out a month in advance. So we believe that buying tickets in advance is one of the best choices during the trip. We are glad you still found the canyons beautiful. They truly are a natural wonder. Thank you again for your feedback .

Our tour guide at Antelope upper canyon, Nathanial was great!! He was extremely knowledgeable and was sure to capture all of our groups photos while navigating us through the canyon in a timely fashion! I highly recommended this tour at peak time for breathtaking sights and photography!! It’s an easy walk and nothing strenuous. And our driver to and from the canyon and Horseshoe Bend was also very friendly and knowledgeable! An overall fantastic day!!
Great experience! Loved the easy pick up and perfectly timed visits. Antelope upper canyon is formidable and our guide gave us the best tips for amazing pictures..
Awesome tour. JR at Antelope Canyon was one of the best tour guides ever. Horseshoe Bend was great. Make sure you understand that you can only pick either upper or lower antelope Canyon.

A special shout-out to JR at Antelope Canyon – we’re glad he made your experience one of the best. It’s also great to know you enjoyed Horseshoe Bend. This trip, we toured the lower antelope canyon. From the standpoint of views, they are very similar, but a very different experience as far as terrain. Lower is more challenging, but definitely worth the extra effort. Carson, with Ken's tours, gave us a look at the canyon through the eyes of the geological, the historical, and the cultural perspectives. Ryan, from Roaming Navajo Tours, was much the same as he drove us around and shared stories of his family and culture. His patience was a blessing. Thank you to both of them.000
Thank you so much for taking the time to share such detailed and thoughtful feedback. We are truly delighted to hear that you enjoyed the unique experience of Lower Antelope Canyon and appreciated the distinct perspectives offered by Carson and Ryan. It’s wonderful to know that their knowledge, storytelling, and patience added such meaningful depth to your tour. We sincerely appreciate your recognition of their efforts and are thrilled that you found the extra challenge of the Lower Canyon worthwhile. Should you plan another adventure in the future, or if friends or family are interested in exploring, we would be honored to welcome you all back for another memorable journey. Warm regards
My visitor from Japan wanted to do this tour. I wasn't crazy about doing it for the price. However, Apphia made it worth it. The slot canyon is beautiful and she pointed out so many fun and interesting places with giving us a history of the area as well.
Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! We are thrilled to hear that Apphia's exceptional service and knowledge transformed your perspective and made the tour truly worthwhile for you and your visitor. We will be sure to pass your kind words along to her—she will be delighted to know she made such a positive impact. We truly appreciate you highlighting the beauty of the slot canyons and the insightful history. It was a pleasure to have you with us, and we look forward to welcoming you back on another adventure in the future! Sincerely
