You will realize what happened to the people living an ordinary life here, and how they survived after being deprived of the future they had envisioned. You will walk around Hiroshima, a beautiful and peaceful city reborn, and feel the underlying strength of the people who rose from the ruins. I worked as a local government official in the Hibakusha (A-bomb survivors) Support Division for 12 years and continue interacting with Hibakusha. Therefore, I can accurately convey things about A-bomb survivors, the reconstruction of Hiroshima, and the effects of radiation on the human body to you. On Miyajima, you will be captivated by the beautiful contrast of the deep green primeval forest, the blue sea, and the vermilion-colored Itsukushima Shrine and Otorii (Grand Gate). Deer will welcome you on the street.

One of the World Heritage Sites in Hiroshima. Feel the importance of peace at this landmark of Hiroshima, which withstood the blast and heat rays of the atomic bomb.
Explore monuments such as the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims, the Children's Peace Monument, and the A-bomb Memorial Mound, along with the stories related to those monuments.

At beautiful Miyajima Island, one of the three most scenic spots in Japan, we will visit the majestic Itsukushima Shrine, another World Heritage Site in Hiroshima, and the Otorii (Grand Gate) floating on the sea.
Encounter many unique Buddhist and stone statues. The Henjokutsu Cave is a good photo spot with its beautiful lanterns hanging from the ceiling.
Construction of this shrine began in 1587 but was interrupted by the death of Hideyoshi Toyotomi, the warlord who ordered its construction and is still unfinished.
Stroll through a shopping street lined with souvenir stores and taste Hiroshima's famous oysters and lemons.

This was a truly beautiful and meaningful tour. Hiroshima and the Peace Park were deeply moving, and Miyajima Island was absolutely stunning. Our guide, Miyuri was exceptional! She was kind, engaging, knowledgeable, and genuinely thoughtful. Our guide was a retired civil servant who worked closely with survivors., so her knowledge and insights added a powerful depth and authenticity that made the history especially impactful. Despite the sensitive history, we never felt uncomfortable as Americans as our guide created a thoughtful, balanced, and welcoming space that encouraged understanding and reflection rather than blame. Our guide was also flexible and accommodating, adjusting the schedule to our preferences so the day felt relaxed and personal rather than rushed. A perfect, memorable experience from start to finish.
