My partner and I had the best time. We lucked out and were treated very well. Our guide was down to earth and incredibly kind!
It was good. Pick up was on time. Then we all went to tulum and then we drove to the adrenaline sight and had lunch. And after we drove the atvs and did the zip line. The repel wasn't much. But did repel like a 20ft cliff wall. Then we went in the cenote and then went home. Fun and really cool. Good staff and friendly. Made it even more fun.
This tour was okay at best. The ATV ride was on the same destroyed road we drove on to get to the Adrenaline tour camp. It wasn’t really a tour through a jungle, just a ride on broke down old ATVs down a broke down road we had already been on. My wife’s ATV died, she was given another, and it died too. But I’m getting ahead of myself. We were told the rest of the party would be there in 15 minutes, 45 minutes later the crew at Adrenaline was still hustling the group that had already delayed our tour even more to buy bandanas, water shoes, and phone cases that nobody actually needs for this tour. The phone cases, maybe if you don’t have one already for water protection in the Cenote. When I told the tour guide I was not happy waiting way longer than he had told me we would wait, I was not met with compassion, but attitude that was actually kind of aggressive. I’ve never been spoken to like that by someone the I employ and I would have fired them immediately if they worked for me, but I was given no choice. It to wait for them to finish trying to squeeze another few bucks out of the already late party. Now the lunch. The free lunch wasn’t free, nope, it came with free stomach infection for both my wife and I. Watch out for excessive diarrhea and stomach pain starting a few hours after your tour. The food is cooked in a rudimentary came and I saw no signs of ported in water. Now. The late party ended up costing us part of our tour, they made us sign something that said we were okay with not finishing the zip line your so that we can get to the Cenotes. The guide offered it to us like it was a choice- “would you like to finish the zip line your, or go to the cenotes?’ The changing room for getting into swim wear was a shack over a dirt floor with a curtain with bugs everywhere. Not sanitary. Our guide then had my wife and I go ahead of him into the cenotes while he changed, which didn’t mean change, nope, it meant wait more so he can eat before changing. We spent another 20 minutes waiting on our guide to be ready to continue our tour. In the end, we did not need any of the items they were pressuring people to buy. You don’t need water shoes- you’ll be swimming most of the time in the cenotes. You don’t need a bandana, just pull your shirt over your nose if the trail is dusty- which in the wet season, no dust. They lure you in with sub-par tours and try to squeeze every last bit of extra cash out of you at everyone else’s expense of time. Now, what was good about the tour? Everything that didn’t have anything to do with the Adrenaline staff. The tour of the Mayan ruins was great, our tour guide was freelancing and not affiliated with adrenaline, honestly, he was a joy. The ruins are worth seeing for sure too. The Cenotes are beautiful. If you can get past the horrible provided experience and opt not to eat their gut wrenching pain and diarrhea inducing food. The zip lines were decent. The long zip line is about 1 kilometer and took close to 2 minutes to traverse. That was cool. If I were to do it again, I would not opt for a package with free lunch nor the ATV. The ruins and cenotes are great and the zip lines were fun for people who like that stuff. I am finishing this review from the toilet, gut wrathing in pain as I consider whether it was worth it. Yes, it was worth it, but no, I wouldn’t do it again, not with this company, not with their food, not with their customer service. If Viator sees this review- I want my money back to pay for the anti diarrhea meds I need to purchase for my wife and I.
Guides and drivers were very friendly. There is A LOT of waiting around/waiting on other people especially at the ruins. Overall, we enjoyed the excursion. Cenote was the best part.
This experience was well balanced between Tulum, ATVs, zip lines and cenotes. It was exciting and the cenotes were majestic.
The tour of Tulum ruins could have been a bit more informative but overall good. For the adrenaline activities, Cesar was our guide and was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. He was a gentleman the entire time. The zip lines felt safe and all staff supported those who were nervous. The ATVs were brilliant, even after rain. The only think I would say is for those who would choose to go slower to go to the back to prevent the queue backing up, but other than that amazing. The Mayan ceremony was a lovely insight into the culture and all involved were super welcoming. The 1km long zip line was phenomenal. The views were amazing and it was such a special experience. A once in a lifetime opportunity I say. The cenote was beautiful and were guided by Cesar in the cave and educated about how the caves and cenotes came to be. Everyone was very big on conservation which was really lovely to see.
Was okay but was 10 hours experience and the driver ask for $25 extra each for taxes Viatar did not disclose
Overall this was a great experience! The ATV’s were great! There were a few mechanical issues but they were taken care off quickly! The zip lining was a lot of fun we had a great time getting a feel for each of the towers. The cave exploration was amazing! The sights were absolutely beautiful! Our tour guide Sergio was hands down one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had! He was knowledgeable about the area, he encouraged those who were nervous and made sure that we stayed together and were having fun! We would absolutely ask for him again when we come back!
I had a fantastic experience, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Our guide Nacho did a great job showing us around the ruins, and Rafael, who guided us for the rest of the tour, was absolutely phenomenal. He was especially patient and supportive when I was nervous about the zip lines, taking the time to reassure me and help me feel comfortable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it!
The shuttle picked us up from a store near our hotel and took us there and back. The mayan ruins, ATV, zip lining, and cenote were awesome. It definitely was an all day experience though, each experience lasted 1-1.5 hours so I was exhausted by the end but 10/10 recommend. The tour guide was very friendly and helped us along the way.
