Since William the Conqueror’s reign, this fortress has served as a royal palace, prison, and execution site, holding countless dark secrets. Your Private Guide will bring history to life, sharing the stories behind the phrase "sent to the Tower" and introducing you to legendary figures like Richard I, Henry III, and Elizabeth I. Wander through this UNESCO-listed site, exploring its medieval architecture, chilling dungeons, and hidden chambers, while learning about the conspiracies, plots, and executions that shaped England’s history.
Private tour to see the legendary Crown Jewels in the Jewel House. This world-famous exhibition houses the dazzling regalia of the British monarchy, including the Imperial State Crown and the Sovereign’s Sceptre. Caroline was a delight to spend the afternoon with. She was extremely knowledgeable about the tower and the history. She tailored all that we saw to our particular interests. We felt by the end of the day that we were long time friends.
The Tower of London has so much history that only a knowledgeable guide can bring it all together. Caroline was very thorough and made the tour quite enjoyable.

We had some miscommunication with our tour guide in beginning which resulted in late start not really a big deal except the info on the site regarding meeting was not consistent with what our tour guide told us to do. We stood outside the Tower for way too long a long discussion that could have taken place while exploring. Our guide never asked what we wanted… there was a beefeater presentation and instead of asking if we wanted to hear what he was saying she stood next to home and continued to talk which made it hard to listen both my husband and I would have enjoyed hearing the beefeater. She started to also talk through the changing of guards and I finally had to say can I please watch this and then I promise you can continue. She was just a little bit on her own mission versus what May interest us. Both my husband and I read a lot and read the history but wanted to experience some of it. Finally her presentation did not go in chronological order or seem to flow she bounced all over the place discussing various time periods which made it very hard to follow her discussions, for the amount we expected more. We both said we may have been better off using the hear pieces and just following the beef eater discussions. Next time.
Margerite was FANTASTIC! She was a wealth of knowledge. Answered all our questions and was very pleasant! Thank you for a memorable experience!
